Iron Man

A friend who’s generally correct about this kind of thing said it’s good, said it’s maybe as good as Spider-Man 2.

And there’s a sequel to Chocolat? What, 10 years later, and everybody’s all pudgy (it happens), so they ban chocolate again? Or is this one about peanut butter?

The same guy said it wasn’t as good as Batman Begins, which I’ll vote as the second-best superhero movie, after M. Night’s Unbreakable. But I’ll give it the best comic-book adaptation. And as for the previous Batman flicks, I like to pretend they don’t exist. Even the first one.

Sawt last night

It does kick total ass…to me , it felt like the closest thing to the comic book story i ever saw. no dumbing down, no changing storyline and character just because…

it shows that it was produce directly by marvel.

and trust me…wait until the credits are done…something happens in the end that will make you cheer aloud!..a bunch of us starting to applaud when we saw what is coming…

Amen, brother. Amen.

I said the very same thing to a friend of mine earlier today.

WOW. Saw it Saturday. Extremely great movie ! I left thinking “I want that suit.” FX fantastic, Downey Jr is simply awesome as Tony Stark, and Gwyneth Paltrow was very good as well, I thought, and I wasn’t a fan of hers. Laughed out loud alot at the smart writing, so many of the great lines just tickled the hell out of me. Just a wonderful setup for a new dynasty ( I hope). And yes, wait 'till the very very end of the credits…

If Spiderman’s a 10, and Batman Begins is a 9, Iron Man is a 9 1/2.

My son and I saw it on Saturday morning before the Talkshoe cast and it totally lived up to all the hype. It is definately worth the money to see it in the theater with the huge screen and the surround sound. The script was great and Robert Downey, Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark. It does not disappoint. And I will warn you ahead of time…yes, the credits are long…very, very long but the payoff at the end is DEFINATELY worth it.

I was sitting near these three 30-something guys who looked like they came right out of a casting call for sci-fi geeks who still live in their parent’s basement…when the credits ended and the payoff occurred I thought I was going to have to do CPR on them, they were so excited. And thanks to Yorick…I wouldn’t have known to stay without your heads up !!

Saw it last night…so very well done. Sadly my theatre’s speakers weren’t working so we only had the center channel. Even without sound that makes your chest rattle this movie kicked arse.

IYKWIM !!

Fra-kking Awe-some!!!

Oh my fraking god. This movie was friking sweet. Spectacular graffics. Funny script. I thought it was kinda cool that
he was all like what ever get me this get me that. Then he realizes he cant do waht he does and becomes all hero,
thats my personal thing that i thought was cool. Anyway. Great movie. I give it a 400. lol. and yes WAIT FOR THE CREDITS TO END AND WATCH THE LITTLE 2 MIN THING. ITS WORTH IT.

yes forgive me what was i thinking. LOL.

Sooo… $104.2 millions domestically and $201 millions worldwide for its first weekend, that’s not bad. It comes as the second-best opening for a non-sequel, behind 2002’s Spider-Man. It also gives Iron Man the 10th-best opening of all time. No wonder Marvel announced this morning Iron Man 2 for May 2010 and… Captain America and The Avengers for 2011

Yippee on the sequel to Iron Man!!! I absolutely loved it!

We already have Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Ed Norton as the Hulk and Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury. The next 2 movies coming out in 2009 from Marvel Studios are Thor and Ant-Man, the Avengers original roster will then be complete.

Any ideas on who should be cast as Thor and Ant-Man (and maybe the Wasp)? And Jarvis of course

actually, according to this, it’s going to be Iron Man 2, Thor, then Capt. America, then Avengers.
