Oh man, you folks are gonna cost me a lot of money, .99 cents at a time! :D;)

Just got the 32gb iPod Touch for my birthday over the weekend, and loving it! I’ve taken advantage of quite a few of the free apps of course, and only spent like $15 so far, but I can see the writing on the wall here! Thanks for all the cool suggestions!

One cool one I found, that I don’t think has been mentioned so far, is Dragon Dictation. Speak, and it dictates to text for you, ready to e-mail or cut and paste for use wherever. I played with it 4-5 times, and it was quite accurate, even getting the name “Gizmodo” right. If it does miss a little, it has keyboard pop up to make fixes. Best part, it’s free! It does require internet connection however, so not always ideal on the iPod Touch. Still, handy!

Thanks, Brent D. Going to check it out now!

Plants vs Zombies is teh awesome. Do it!!! Do it!!! Brainz!!!

I did it. I am TEH HOOKED! BRAINS!!!

This website let’s you stream tv shows and movies on your iPhone.

When you play through a second time, Crazy Dave starts picking some of your seed packets for you (apparently randomly.)

Nifty!

Something doesn’t feel right about this. Nothing written up about it that says it is negative/virus, but still…on general principle would be wary of such a service.

Feels more like a fan product to me.

And however annoying the locked down set of sandboxes that is the iPhone OS, it does mitigate a lot of attack vectors.

Yesh! He picks three of 'em, you fill out the rest. Usually they are at least semi-useful, thankfully.

I find myself farming for cash right now, trying to buy everything Crazy Dave has to sell (almost there now). I also enjoy finding new ways to beat the levels, and playing the mini-games.

Right there with you. I never thought I’d buy anything more than ¢99 from the iTunes store, but I have to say that this is probably the best bang-per-buck I’ve gotten from there.

I love the minigames, and the conveyor levels, for the way they teach you to use different plants in combination. I’m on my second pass and JUST getting how to use garlic.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. Peer pressure. Now I must own this.

You won’t be sorry. As Pike says, big-time bang for the buck here.

A great app for streaming video is Air Video. It allows you to stream content from your desktop to your iPhone. Best of all, it is Chuck approved.

Waiting for my IPAD to play plants vs zombies…want to see if it clears up the lag issues I have heard about it. I have it on my mac pro though, LOVE that version.

Lag issues? I have the iPhone version and it works well.

Far too well.

Do you have a 3g or a 3gs? Also an IPAD HD version of it was just announced.

My ipad just shiped…SATURDAY BE HERE NOW DANGIT.

BrettAZ just showed me his Pocket God app yesterday. He made his little natives turn into zombies, get eaten by the shark and become vampires. It was cute.

My phone has gone from great to absolutely awesome with a jailbreak.

I can switch between multiple running applications now (I keep a book open in Stanza, instant switch instead of waiting a while for a big book to load), I can control my uTorrent client at home from anywhere, and send/respond to SMS’s from anywhere without having to quit applications, and more.

It is WICKED.

I jailbroke for a while and enjoyed the beauty that is Backgrounder, but I got tired of my battery level being reported incorrectly (they were supposed to fix that… epic fail) and actually shutting down my 3g from time to time. I’ve since reverted and am being patient for iPhone 4.0 software, which people feel will have multitasking built-in via an Exposé interface. ETA, as with all major iPhone releases, is June.
