Helo was a throwaway character at first.
I never bought that line. Plus, even if RDM didn’t mean anything to have been implied through Daniel in BSG, that doesn’t mean he won’t expand the character in directions we can’t even yet imagine within Caprica.
You know what I am loving about this show already, merely based on the advertising blitz: my gato (named Caprica) doesn’t understand why the TV is calling his name. He has never paid the box any mind in the past, but whenever we’ve got SyFy on he hears a deep, gravelly voice announcing his presence.
The flavor of the new show is so different from BSG that I think that I will like it in an entirely different way. It is equally as sociologically-oriented, I think, but the tone is so much more hopeful. And how’s that for irony?

If Daniel shows in Caprica we’d have to see the others to some degree which would be great. Who knows? Mebbe Elton John will sing a song about the show …
Finally saw Caprica! Yes, I know I’m the last person on Earth to see it but I refused to pay the price for the DVD, they wouldn’t let us rent it online, and I didn’t want any questionable files or programs on my computer so I didn’t get that way either. I just watched it on Hulu.
Wow, that was a great pilot! It was great in the same the BSG miniseries was. It had everything I loved about BSG in it, like all these questions around artificial intelligence and consciousness. I was drawn into the characters and their dilemmas and hooked into the mystery of the Sons of the True God (or whatever). Did they show up in BSG? Anyway, loved it!
I can’t wait for the season to start.

the nature of being human is what grabs me. “God’s” plan may have its start in the show. It’s just gonna be cool.
It is obvious I overlooked this or could Daniel the Cylon be a copy of Graystone? He’s a dreamer of sorts, although Frankensteinian.
My batting average for these things is zero, but it is fun anyway.
