Yes, I once saw an old lady bend down to give a squirrel a piece of bread in Washington Square Park. The squirrel looked up, knocked her walker out from under her and nicked her purse and ran away. They may look cute, these squirrels, but some of them are dangerous hardened criminals.
Living in a neighborhood where the squirrels outnumber the humans, I now never want to leave my apartment again!
