So, just out of curiosity, how do you get to watch the newest in TARDIS traveling?
I picked Baltar, because there’s no “Other” option.
I rent through netflix or use Youtube, on you tube its in parts adn all I do is put
“Doctor Who (Episode Name) Part one”.
I voted Baltar because I believe that, if Baltar existed in real life, he would have created Netflix as a force to bring about the destruction of Blockbuster Video.
Anyway, I watched earlier seasons of (new) Doctor Who on TV as they came out. But I didn’t keep up with Season 3. So I’m catching up via Netflix.
It’s a rather tricky timey-wimey thing!
I get it before it happens, but have to get it when it happens or I never had it in the first place!
(That is, I snichtgorrant it, but still DVR and watch it on BBC America when it aires to ensure they get our 2 cents of viewership info)
Its on two hour on bbc on sat. and I watch season 4 on scifi.
Actually, RonMooreHasPrettyHair loaned me his COMPLETELY LEGAL DVD’s of seasons 1-3 of the new Who and since season 4 started airing, I’ve been recording it on my DVR and watching it there. Unfortunately, this means I’m about 2-3 weeks behind the U.K. schedule, but I can deal with that.
Since Dr. Who and BSG come on within 2 hrs of each other, I have a 2 hr frak party of Who/BSG w/ Pizza and Beer.
Especially since your kids can’t watch the last three episodes. Yes, I said three. The most recent episode was very intense and would probably scare young’uns.
Oh, seriously?! Crap. L is going to pitch a fit. I just won’t tell him. I’ll tell him it’s not on. I told him he couldn’t watch the next two and he was not happy. If I add another one, he’ll be picketing against me for unfair parenting practices.
He’s not already?
You watch it first and decide, but I think it might freak him out a bit.
My normal response for all polls is Baltar. But this one is just too important. I get to watch DW and Twood on BBC America and the local PBS station has DW insanely late on Thursday PM/Fri AM. So I have a lot of DW, since I started watching. Thank gods for the DVR.
You might want to watch it first depending on their ages. Silence in the Library scared my two for a few days. I had to lie on the floor between their two rooms until they went to sleep. They soon got over it though and have recommended the episode to their friends as a good old fashion terror fest. The second part hardly merited a fizzle.
Midnight did not scare them at all. They thought it was weird. They were more frightened of the second seasons “Fear Her”.
I do recommend a pre-watch with Silence in the Library, though; especially if your kids are a bit nervous. The response to this episode is “Blink” worthy.
Last night I watched “The Runaway Bride”, which is the Season 4 X-Mas episode of Dr. Who. Fantastic episode. Catherine Tate is wonderful and has a beautiful chemistry with the Doctor.
That was between season 2 and 3. Between 3 and 4 was Voyage of the Damned with Kiley Minogue.
As for how I view it, Sunday morning, I usually find it on veoh.com or tvlinksdb.com. Haven’t watched this week’s yet, though. Father’s day threw me off.
I watch DW on BBCA, SciFi, and PBS. The trick is I set my DVR to DW andy time any station. So even when I am only expecting SciFi on Fridays sometimes I get a surprise.
SciFi has an all day showing of DW this Thursday 6/19 starting at 8am (eastern).
I loved that episode for her chemistry with the doctor too! I enjoy that, unlike Rose and Martha, she was completely unimpressed with him. At least in that episode.
Have you seen this sketch?
I chose all, because they all apply. Srsly I have used somehting that rhymes with mittborrent, and Sci-Fi…and I have a TARDIS…in my imagination.
Oh. My. Godz. That was fraakin’ AWESOME. Count me in, sign me up as a Catherine Tate fan. From listening to audio commentary on “The Runaway Bride” it’s clear that she is like Insanely popular and sought after in the U.K.
Now I can see that popularity is totally deserved.
I picked Baltar because I don’t actually watch the new Doctor Who
