The best way is to either DM me (which I did see the one, just haven’t replied to any yet). The other option is e-mail, but I would rather keep it all in DM’s for now. Once I start replying and building my spreadsheet (very soon) I will respond with my contact information like e-mail address and cell number.

okay… just booked my flights and my reservation at the hotel… so excited… will be there thurs-sunday. Can’t believe I will get to meet all the people I hear about on the Podcast

Any news on your accomodations for Wed night? We were wondering if you were still up for grabbing a beer that evening.
Book flight & hotel today, but I keep seeing all these posts about wednesday & if you’re staying past Sunday; which makes me ask, “how much goes on the night before / day after? Will I be okay just getting in on Friday morning and leaving Sunday evening?”
Of course, I know if I do just Fri-Sun I’ll be missing a little fun, but I’ll also be missing fewer work days, which is what’s paying for this anyway, yeah?
All the really cool stuff happens the Tuesday morning before the meetup and the Tuesday afternoon after the meetup. That’s when George Lucas and Steven Spielberg fly into Plano in the Millenium Falcon just to say “hi” to everyone. Kind of an event kick-off and turn-out the lights events.
On a SERIOUS note, whatever time you can afford will be well spent in my experience. The bigger get togethers are the podcast on Friday night at the hotel and the dinner Saturday night at the restaraunt. Last year there was also significant hang-out time at the Irish Rover on Friday and Saturday too. Everything else is just plain out bonus.

I got a room at an hotel on the other side of the street. MapQuest says it a 15 min walk. I’m so in for a beer that night. I land around 3pm and have pretty much nothing to do so PLEASE take me out for a beer! I can’t wait to be there

Which hotel? I’ll try to use googlemaps to find a bar or something in between the two. I get in around 3:30, and then we have to get the shuttle to the hotel, so I don’t know what time we’ll be free. I’m sure we’ll need to freshen up and decompress, but we’re up for some fun, for sure. Once it gets closer, PM me your cell # and I’ll PM you ours so we can find each other that night
ok end stage stuff finally done, I had booked (An d mostly paid for) all aspects of my trip re: accomodation et al. Tonight I got on my lazy ass and did the USA Visa Waiver Proramme thingy - which they now charge for (14$) grrr.

Just booked my room w/CptMonty; they are sold out of GWC rooms on the 18th and only have Kings left on the 19th. You know, just in case any of you hadn’t booked yet.

Natalie probably is only there during the day, so try tomorrow before 5 p.m. Central time…or 3 p.m. you time. If the hotel is not full they are supposed to add rooms for GWC from what I understand. Sean can verify!
I have a double right now, I could call tomorrow and free up a double for a king on the 19th if you want
You can just check in and then trade rooms letting the front desk know afterwards. Room rate is the same anyways. I traded a double for a single last year with no problem.
