GWC Podcast #64

I, too, waited in line for episode one, but even though I did manage to get into the midnight showing, I had to wait until a bit later to shed the tear. Why? I’d worked long hours for weeks, and fell asleep during the movie. (I also ended up in the front row. While that’s normally pretty bad, it was heinous for a Star Wars flick. I couldn’t keep the whole screen in my field of vision, so during the intro I had to whip my head back and forth – like watching a tennis match played by super-human robots – to read the words. Doh!)

I’m glad you chose to join in the fray here, because I feel just like you seem to about GWC: it’s a big group of friends who share their favorite books, movies, and experiences. I feel like I’ve gone from two friends like that to scores. It’s a wonderful thing, and even better since you’re here now. Welcome to the forum Ziebra, and thanks for sharing your story!

I’ve got the house to myself tonight and am doing a re-rewatch of Black Market.
A bit late to notice this, but there was a very nicely-played bit of acting by J Bamber in the first few moments of this episode. Dad Adama sends Lee over to Fisk’s cabin after his murder to scope things out, and while snooping around he discovers a closetfull of swag. Among the cigars and trinkets is a nice gold bracelet with the inscription “E.T”…It took me a second but…Ellen Tighe…lol…the girl gets around, no doubt (or rather, did). And Apollo, recognizing the initials, does a wonderful little mental “that figures !!”. Just a very well-played moment that required no frills, no CGI…just good acting. BSG ROCKS !!

The GWC podcast really helps me out . . . sometimes I get obsessed with an actress from the show and then I guess I listen to this podcast and it helps me get over it for a while. Thanks GWC.
