Yes, that is true as we see at the beginning of the next season with the “Circle”. However we find out when Kira says, “It was all to get him here, wasn’t it? The school, the protest, the bombing. You knew that would get him out of the monastery. You did it all to kill him-- to stop him from becoming Kai.”, that her objective was to eliminate Bareil and increase her popularity to become the next Kai.
Your analysis definitely falls into the D-bag category but I can’t believe that she didn’t plan it all and for me, a premeditated murder (even an attempt), is an automatic induction into the Evil-POS club.
I can see maybe blaming him for Clor. But Reed came up wit 42 on his own and Stark supported the SRA because he had to. To say the Pro side was wrong because skrulls were involved is, imo, silly since they were relatively minor. It’s not like the president was a skrull or the bill writer or something
Again, it’s been a while since I’ve read the Secret Invasion/Civil War comics that weren’t X-men, Runaways, or Incredible Hercules related, so I could be misremembering. And no, the pro-reg side wasn’t wrong because they had alien invaders in their midst, they were wrong in just about every step of how they handled things. Any points they scored with me for their reasoning backpedaled when they started putting their friends in prison in the Negative Zone.
I only watched the first 2 minutes of “In the Hands of The Prophets” and I already want to club Winn in the face with a hockey stick. Its going to be a fun arc.
I’d love to hear Patrick Stewart give an intro narrative: “In the future, mankind has become more civilized, and no longer needs money or resorts to war. The human race has even eliminated the kind of behaviour (sic) that people once described as ‘douchey’ – for the most part. However, in the Federation’s continuing voyages, as we explore the outer reaches of space, we sometimes find dark recesses of the heart. And some people remain, sadly, douchebags.”
Ah yes, making Jellico one of my favorite characters of late season trek. About frakkin time some-one told her to ditch the “boob-suits”.
The dude just had no use for her. Granted he is still a D-bag overall, but can’t fault the guy for brutal honesty.

This episode has some awesome dialogue, some of my favorite in Firefly. Curiously it never makes it onto my top 3 list, hmm.
Zoe: "Preacher, don’t the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?
Book: “Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.”
and of course,
Zoë: “Jayne. This is something the captain has to do for himself.”
Mal: “No. No, it’s not!”
Zoë: “Oh!”
Yeah, that part does truly suck. Probably why I don’t have it in my top 3 as well now that I think about it.
I don’t like the ST:TNG episode where Picard gets tortured by the cardassian either, even though it is also a great episode.
I’m really looking forward to Iron Man 2. It actually has a 76% fresh rating at RottenTomatoes right now. I think most of the nasty reviews I’ve seen have come from the Troll factory, imdb, the place where every movie seems to be the “Worst movie ever!”
I just really hope this sequel doesn’t turn out to be another Revenge of The Fallen…
I mostly disregard movie reviews for films like this. I don’t like them coloring my experience of the movie, whether the reviews are good or bad. I just want to go in to the movie the first time as a fan and enjoy the experience as purely as possible. I’ll read the reviews later. 'Til then? Daaa daaa da da da, da na na na na na na na da da da!
I’ve come to the conciseness that if aliens come here, they’ll be looking for DNA. Unless they’re into talking, sharing culture with another sentient species - or whatever the hell we pass for - anything else they could want in regards to raw materials is already in space.
Oh, and by want our DNA I don’t - necessarily - mean they’d want to have sex with us. I mean they’d want to harvest base DNA proteins in which to either rebuild their own deluded or corrupt pools, or they use it for other things. Like building materials.
