Yes, I did mistakening call in and describe the car in Burn Notice as a Cougar. I did call back in immediately and apologize for calling a 1973 Charger a Cougar. That v/m just wasn’t played. But it’s all cool. Shooter Jr and I are looking forward to the Indy Jones arc, and I’m interested in showing Firefly to Jr.
I’m an episode behind on Chuck, but thanks for pointing out her name may be a play on her Smallville character. I thought the writers were lazy for replacing Anna with Hannah.
Thoughts on the cast:
Riddick is great. One of my favorite sci fi.
Riddick is better than Freejack. I agree with Sean. Almost A rank, but just barely below.
I wouldn’t want to be Riddick because he is too anti-hero for me. I’d want to be a good guy.
Lol Audra! Wow at the sex tape joke.
I agree with Sean again about Hulk. Only thing, I wish they’d kept Jennifer Connelly instead of Liv Tyler.
“To be fair” was a great line.
The award and shout out: Wow… Thanks guys… Just wow…
Rofl @ sheep noise.
Well, I’m just stunned now. Enjoyed the cast as always. I was scanning planets in ME2 as I listened until the awards btw. d:
I was wondering if I should start a service for peeps who hate mining/scanning by getting them to send me a save file, accumulate up to 75,000 units of each material except Eezo, and send the save file back. d:
I guess “I stole Solai” rolls off the tongue better than, “I established a situation upon which Solai was not the beneficiary of positive relations with alien races.”
Congrats to everyone who won and/or participated! And thanks for hosting the game - I had so much fun playing in FSFL, and it was additionally fun to read/hear everyone’s solutions. My favourite award had to be the aptly named “The Tolstoy”. That cracked me up to no end.
And yay for recapping some tv shows. I’m glad to hear there’s still much love with Chuck! Kind of crazy how fans were so divided over the Chuck/Sarah thing, which makes a lot of sense to me. Was interested to hear about what you guys thought of Caprica, which, not sure how doable it is, but I hope it would pop up every now and then (if not regularly) in the podcasts. I’m loving it so far (as well as the opening credits, which I though set the mood of the show up really well while distinguishing it from BSG), though I found Joseph Adama to be the weakest link in the character (not the actor), in terms of intrigue. Though, he has gotten just a little more interesting now with his ruthlessness (especially compared to Sam’s less willing expression on his face) at the end of the last episode. We’ll see.
Very excited about the new Indiana Jones arc - if only if it were only the first three movies! I’m not sure if there are any redeeming qualities about that last one. That one was kind of painful to watch in the theatre.
As for Sanctuary, I’ve only watched the pilot when it aired, but wasn’t hooked on it (well, at least, not enough to continue with it). Perhaps I should try again when summer rolls around.
Love the podcast…on the Subject of cars, I believe Joseph Adama’s Car is a Citroen DS, (as well as a few other cars in the show-where Sam throws the trash can) If I’m correct Greystone’s sedan, that they use after the announcement that Zoe is a Terrorist, is a Jaguar S type from the early 60’s
I remember in one of Ron Moore’s Podcast for BSG (Downloaded?) that when they showed cars in the garage that they wanted to use some lesser known/seen european cars, and dress them up a bit to look not spacey, or futuristic, but just to look different.
Should be interesting to see what other cars turn up in this series…
Did you scream like a fangirl like I did when Hardison told Lucille “I have always been, and forever shall be, your friend”? LOL! I LOVE this show! It’s like Ocean’s Eleven on CRACK!
