Can anyone answer me this about Wizard Rock, cuz I’m curious. Is Wizard Rock exclusively Harry Potter-themed, does it cover the Fantasy/Magic genre in a broader way?
(Some of the coolest Led Zepplin songs give a nice nod to Lord of the Rings …for instance.)
I have recently finished all the movies, and just got the first book yesterday. Can’t wait to start reading.
Tonks & the Aurors was awesome. So glad you lined that up. I’ve had “Charlie Weasly” stuck in my head for a few days now. After being into the books for years, that was my first wrock experience, and I’m a believer now.
The official sorting hat link (in my sig) works for me, on Mac and PC. Ignore the stuff on the side and just click the main hat graphics. But, that said, it’s very powerful magic, and it works different ways for different people.
I’m a P.C. using Firefox and the sorting hat works up until it is time to sort me into a house and then it takes me to the preview for HBP. oh well.

Yeah, same on Safari. Weird, because I did it a few years ago and it was fine.

Most of a week here…
My boss caught me today singing 'Charlie Weasley doesn’t really love me ‘cause he’s in love with dragons’…
that’s one great tune… there are 2 youtube posts of the song…

It feels almost boring that I got sorted into Gryffindor
Okay I feel dumb…I cut and pasted from the test website…but all I got was the gibberish above…I am so a luddite on this stuff!
Yeah! Audra’s a Hufflepuff! Welcome
Lisa
I couldn’t get through the sorting hat either - it also went straight to the HBP promos.
Anyway, a question: How did Peter Pettigrew end up in Gryffindor? His downfall to the dark side was mostly because of his fear and cowardice - traits that aren’t Gryffindor-ish. It makes sense for ‘bad’ people to be in any of the four houses (and just not Slytherin!), but usually their weaknesses are associated with the qualities of the house (like Slytherins when they get too cunning, or Gryffindors who are too arrogant or too quick to act out, etc) and not in stark contrast to them.
So, why is Pettigrew a Gryffindor?
YAY! Us Hufflepuffs gotta stick together.
That’s because it’s HTML and the forum uses BBCode. All you need is the SRC from that mess, and then post it as a normal picture:
Like you are having a hella good time on this HP podcast… you’re always a good listen…but there seems to be an extra dash of joy added in to this arc…I’m really liking it…and I have only read, I think, through 5 but I’m gonna pick them back up now…definitely.
Great 'cast. I was looking forward to the new film before, but now I’m very excited for it. We ordered two copies of the last three books because I can’t co-read the same volume with husbandAZ- no sharing! I have mixed feeling about book seven being broken into two films, but maybe the details I love from the books that never seem to make it in the films will be present.
Trying to wrap up the 'cast before the next one drops.
HAVE to talk about Halo 2. I used to play co-op Halo with a friend once a week. For like two years. And Halo: CE was perfectly tuned and lots of fun. We beat it 2 or 3 times on Legendary. We went to Halo 2, beat it on Heroic, and then found that it was nigh-impossible to beat on Legendary because it wasn’t anything but impossibly cheap.
We spent several weeks on the second hangar part. The only way to work through that second hangar involved a plasma pistol guy and another with either phenomenal aim or a lot of grenades. But it’s absolutley brutal, and we gave up trying to beat it on Legendary because it just wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t fun anymore. Still a solid game, but the least of the three.
And the lack of an effective flashlight was the game’s greatest flaw, overall.
Chuck, Sean & Audra:
I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for doing this arc! As a huge HP fan, it was such a treat to hear the three of you talking about HP like giddy fans. While I was excited for the new movie before, now I’m extra excited and have even gotten my HP mojo back enough to do a re-read of the whole series with a bunch of GWC’ers. I’m so glad to find out that there are lots of GWC members that are also HP fans–and perhaps we can pick-up a few for the “the Order” along the way. I completely enjoyed this podcast and am looking forward to the next two. Thank you again!
