Oy! I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it. I have been waiting for this podcast for 172 weeks.

Shinny!

You beat me to it, UD! I was about to say:

“Ha ha! First post!”

But I’ll settle for second behind oo-chi-ha dice-kay.

Audra play second fiddle to no one!

I am in good company if you got my back.

P.S. How hot is Casilda’s voice! Monthly audio “Casilda Book Club” updates please.

Cedric Diggory was Hufflepuff. The true Tri-Wizard champion. Let’s all remember a boy who was exceptionally hard working, infinately fair-minded and most importantly a fierce, fierce friend. Let’s raise a glass to Diggory’s and actually remember what happened to a boy because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.

To Diggory!

For on more record: Nymphadora Tonks was also Hufflepuff

Voldemort turned him into a vampire?

Sean has an anti-hufflepuff rant? This should be good. But doesn’t he know that one of the main Hufflepuff traits is loyalty? Could not Sean himself really be Hufflepuff?

<yoda> There is another. </yoda>

Is Diggory blood similar to unicorn blood?

I talked a bit on sorting in the Arc tread but this is my take on the crew.

I can see how Audra got Gryffindor but IMO she is a slam dunk for Ravenclaw.

Chuck and Sean are a bit harder to place. Gryffindor and Slytherin are much more similar than most people give credit. At first glance it would be very easy to place Chuck in Gryffindor and Sean in Slytherin just on appearance and personality (Chuck being a wise, well age gentleman and Sean being a long haired young punk :D). After over 200 podcasts and having meet them I can say that either would help them on the way to greatness, there is no doubt about it; but where to place them?

The biggest difference between the two houses is that Gryffindor’s are impulsive and quick to act. (Sean) Slytherin’s are more calculating and sly about how they react (Chuck), this is one reason that Gryffindor is thought of as more brave than the rest. I would say when we really take a close look (some of you know them much better and may have other opinions) I would say that Chuck is Slytherin and Sean is Gryffindor.

I would just add that it is much more important what they think they belong in than what we do (as the books have told us, It is our choices that define us). The sorting hat probably knows us better than we do and may even have other magical abilities. Maybe it was no coincidence Hermione was put in Gryffindor. Maybe it knew Ron and Harry needed her?

Thanks for the Snake support! As always, a few bad eggs ruin it for the rest of us. Embrace yourself (IYKWIM) for who you truly are. Temet nosce

On another note, I would totally be an Unspeakable working on cool new inventions in the Department of Mystery.
The reason why that other door was locked in the Department of Mysteries (Love Room) is because that is where they film Wizard Pron. :stuck_out_tongue:
I should not have told you that, I should not have told you.
 I’m technically either way for Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I guess it depends how cowardly I’m feeling any particular day lol

So, for the benefit of the more-or-less uninitiated, when the song says that Charlie Weasley only loves dragons, what exactly does that mean? Is there some IYKWIM at work here?

Well, he’s a Weasley who isn’t in a romantic relationship that we know of… so yeah. Maybe it’s that?

Yes, I believe SeraphX’s head probably exploded (IYKWIM) when he heard that song.

Charlie Weasley raises Dragons (IYKWIM) in Romania. I was thinking the same thing, but then again, us snakes spend a lot of time in the gutters. I don’t think the song intended that. Most Wizard Rock is lighthearted and fun, Fan Fiction is a whole other story.

I was equally Ravenclaw also. I think that is a common theme in this forum. Ravenclaw is the glue that binds the forum together, not to mention the sludge running thru the gutter.

I couldn’t get the “Official” Sorting Hat to work either. I ended up getting the full Ovaltine experience too. I can’t say for certain how accurate it is in comparison, obviously, but THIS was the quiz that several of us have taken in the other thread.

ETA: I just reached the end of the podcast. I’m verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. :o

Slytherin’s get a bad rap when it comes to that. I mean, just because Voldemort and his cronies come from Slytherin doesn’t mean they are all bad, right?

Slughorn was a Slytherin and fought right along side Harry and the others at the end of Book 7.

And we mustn’t forget that the one of the bravest of all wizards was in fact a Slytherin: Snape

EDIT: The sorting hat also tied me with Ravenclaw, but I went with Gryffindor. I’m sure lot’s of people had the same.

Yup, and not all of the Death Eaters were Slytherin, possibly not even most of them. (IIRC, they had the highest percentage, by house.)

Like others I too tied for two houses: Griffindor and Slytheryn.

Only if the other half of the IYKWIM breaths fire…
