This podcast was recorded live January 16, 2009 just following the BSG season 4.5 premiere. We’re joined by numerous guests including Kandyse McClure, Luciana Carro, BSG writer/producer Bradley Thompson, and show creator Ron Moore. Long-time GWCers BKitty and Lady D report live from the cast/crew premiere frak party in L.A. Highlights? They’re just too numerous to list here. We hope you enjoy this magical premiere-night ride we took with GWCers across the country and around the world, and check back next week for our more traditional non-live 'cast – with more great guests.
I downloaded it and will listen to it on the way to work! I am glad I got to join, I found an old Wireless Mouse ofmine and thank goodness it worked.
Whoooaaa-oooh. And that’s before I’ve even listened. Hats off to your awesome selves! Not to mention all the guests for stopping by. Can’t wait to listen.
Yeah, what dxf said.
I cannot wait to listen. I wish I could have joined in. I’m still trying to sort out what we saw last night.
i remember as a kid i would watch a show i was really into, say Twin Peaks, and bounce around after in excitement but had NO outlet to share my enthusiasm. it so enhances the epic BSG experience to have all the GWC’ers to share it with. I’ve connected with Chuck and Audra on a personal level and feel lucky to have met them and I’ve even made some real-world friends like Yorick.
So just giving props to the GWC crew and all the other GWC’ers for making this whole experience such an amazing ride. Thanks all!
SS
Sounds awesome, downloading now. I wish I could have listened to it live but as I can’t watch the episode when first broadcast there’s no way I’m spoiling it.
Major props out to the crue for not only hosting an awesome par-tay, but to Chuck who must be working on 2 hours of sleep…the man recorded, edited and released the podcast in 10 hours. Mr Cage:
Solai we should get the nyc crew together for a frak party meetup sometime this season.
Hey all, new to the forums, but been following the cast for a while now. Love the show and the chemistry of you all together. Last night was the first I was able to get in on the live show and really enjoyed it (even with audio dropping).
Just wanted to say job well done and some really great guests!
This ep was awesome on so many levels…
Great Job all, Who knew that his royal highness King Ronald I of Galactica would grace us with his presence live on the cast? If I would have been wearing pants I probably would have needed to change them. Great job
just wanted to say hey and check back in after what a year since going to 4.o finalle at the dome in hollywood…back to my ritual of show then this podcast and repeat for a couple months…thanks you final 3 for still being here and hosting!
Thanks for putting up the podcast so quickly, and for managing what sounded like a pretty crazy live podcast. I am looking forward to downloading and listening to everyone’s thoughts, as well as the interviews(!WOW! What a get!).
Mostly, I was pretty surprised that at almost 5/6 hours after it started, I finally watched the episode and popped in, and people were still around! Granted, talkshoe shut it down five minutes after I logged in, but still. WOW.
Anyway. I’ve never felt quite so depressed after an episode. My mind is reeling, and I feel so sigh. and it’s been 12 hours since I watched it. It’s been slightly therapeutic to read everyone’s thoughts while I’m too speechless to say what and how I feel.
Again, THANKS to GWC and everyone in it! I don’t know what I’d do without this forum and the podcast to help me unwind after a devastating episode.
God(z), I’m so depressed. And not because of the episode. I wish I could have watched it last night and joined in the live 'cast. They’re always so much fun, and we had the RDM himself! Way to go, Chuseandra! I’ll have to content myself to listening to it post-facto.
And echo Stevie Spin’s comments about having people to share this with. Another reason why I’m bummed I missed last night.
Talkshoe issues aside, I really enjoyed listening along during the live podcast, though I wasn’t brave enough to speak-up during the part where we were all unmuted. I’ve listened to about half the podcast recording and can’t wait to listen to the rest. The episode was just breathtaking on so many levels and the podcast lived-up to that standard as well.
Sean that’s a great point about those who have already been through the fire were the only ones stable after realizing Earth was a craaaaaaaaaaphole. One of the best examples is Lee. Yes he did go through his suicidal winey phase, but now he’s the one of the only ones around to be a capable leader. Helo, Sharon, Baltar and Lee as well as the FF have already been to hell and back. That’s why a crappy Earth can just be viewed as just another bump in the road…
More importantly, I think those who haven’t lost their sense of self and sanity are the ones who have maintained the ability to still have some hope for future happiness, come what may. Those that tethered all of their hopes to finding Earth, gradually had their hope eroded along the way there, only to have the last flame of that hope extinguished when they finally saw what had become of the utopia they intended make their home.
I’m up to the Kandyse interview (and melting, btw). Apparently, she has joined La Revolution.
Cackleberry! We need a ‘previously on Galactica Watercooler’ followed by Kandyse’s “pants” comment.
WOW! Wish I could have been there live. Am about half way through the cast now. Viva Chuck for getting it out so fast. You guys are awsome.
