Today we watch the awesome BSG Season 4.5 ‘Sode #9. Highlights: we worry about Gaeta’s (hopeful) return to Galactica, question Gaeta’s post Baltar-whisper reaction, wonder what really happened on New Caprica (vs. what Gaeta thinks happened), and wonder what this all means to Season 4.0. After a well-placed warning, we also discuss material from the Ron Moore/David Eick press conference yesterday — followed by some serious season 4.5 speculation.
So many podcast to listen to.
Thanks
I think I might just have to save this one for friday on my four hour trip to the boot state
I have fallen behind so much on the cast…
you know… i was in Guam for 3 days, and I thought to myself “Finally, I am back in US territory, so I can watch the webisodes”, and still the geo-block tells me that I can’t watch it in my region. I mean I get Scifi channel in my hotel’s television, and I can’t view the sodes on the web? that’s wack.
anyway, I haven’t seen 9 on the web yet, so I guess I ahve to wait until then to listen to 142.
Since there haven’t been a lot of people commenting that they’ve watched it yet, I don’t want to give out any spoilers.
But let’s just say that if any of the 'sodes were not going to be leaked, it is totally fitting that it was this one!
You can say that again! That was quite an exciting three minutes of BSG, and it was awesome how they tied it back into the rest of the series.
Because it got some screen time I think that we need to add it to the game.
Hmm, just checked the site, and I cannot find Ep 9.
What was you reason for being in Guam? Just curious–I taught there and worked to the island newpaper almost 20 years ago.
At least I didn’t have to go through the Rise of the Liechens this time.
Finally we get to know the secret of the Baltar whisper and maybe why Gaeta lied during the trial.
Why can’t they put the dang things in order. Can’t they count.
Great one when you find it.
After watching sode 9 I really think that Scifi was the one that posted all the sodes but 9 on amazon. It was a great 4min, can’t wait till the cast on this sode.
When does 10 come out?
i have some family friends there. this is the 2nd time i’ve been in Guam, i still am pretty much a tourist. if you are a tourist in Guam you don’t get to see much of the island and how the locals live.
It’s like going to the Bay Area and just shown the Golden Gate Bridge and the Fisherman’s Warf. While if you really get to know Bay Area, you’d find out about the wine counties, Camel, Santa Clara and the Red wood forests where it’s really fun.
I think there’s a lot more going on in Guam, but I have very little access to them since I don’t have a car when I am there and renting one is like 99 bucks a day. I know most of Guam revolves around ocean related tourism and a lot of military, but I want to see less hotel and high-end shopping malls, and more of what the people in Guam actually do.
I was excited about maybe going to an baseball game in Guam, but the actual baseball season starts on the 16th (as is BSG 4.5) and other local games were rained out, I was forced to stay away from the flooding and tried to watch the webisodes, which unfortunately I couldn’t as well.
Guam has been hit hard by the lack of tourism since the economic crisis. From the looks of it even the bookstore at the mall is having a hard time. The last time I went (2 years ago) it had plenty of new books. This time the same book store felt smaller. Which is unfortunate, because Guam is a really nice place.
[Neo]Whoa…[/Neo]
That was pretty awesome. I like how it did seem to tie into the two things I thought that Gaeta actually did that were knowingly wrong: try to kill Baltar and perjur himself at the trial. I think he must have been hiding some self doubts. I guess if Gaeta suspected that Baltar knew what Crazy8 was upto, then that makes Baltar complicit in crimes other than signing the list with a gun to his head. Gaeta might have lied because at some level he suspected (after he whispered in his ear) that Baltar did condone (by inaction) the killing of some Colonials. While that wasn’t the act that he was actually being tried for he thought it was morally okay to juice up that part of the story.
It’ll air on Monday.
So–if Crazy 8 was playing Felix the whole time, why not off him in the “more air for me” spirit? Maybe she was planning to pin all the murders on Gaeta if they did make it back to the Fleet?
Threw me too. There’s a scrollbar on the page (a white rectangle.) Pull that down.
Also, thanks for the heads-up everyone. I checked Skifffy earlier, but all I got was the POINTLESS SCIFI WIRE CRAAAAP! Way to promote, NBC.
It always drove me nuts not knowing what Baltar whispered in Geatas ear. I was convinced it was “You’re one of the Final Five”. I’m glad it wasn’t though. It makes the show so much better knowing that you can’t beat the writers to the final act. No other show on TV is like this!
Holy crap! Was Crazy Eight just channeling The Shat there at the end?
