GWC Podcast #140

I have never seen any of the Trek films. A Trek arc sounds like a good idea to get my butt in gear

whut !!??!!

Whut!?? No way!

How the ??!!??

Sigh
[slowly shakes head]
Emily…Emily…Emily…

We’re so glad you’re here. You’ve come to the right place. Anyplace else, the folks would have said, “No Trek movies?! You fool!” and cast you out into the darkness where there is much weeping and gnashing of teeth.

But here at GWC, we care. So sit back, relax, trust us, and we’ll have you all Trekked-out in no time. It’s not too late for you. The Shat abides.

I think for starters somebody need to teach the poor thing the Vulcan hand sign.

I’m sorry. I hear the words, but I just can’t parse that sentence.

Remember to keep the thumb separate as well. Vulcan salutes with the thumb pressed against the hand are the sign of an amateur.

And no fair using rubber bands to keep the proper fingers together. I believe I read somewhere that Mr. Quinto used that technique to prepare for his role as Young Spock, and though I am earnestly excited to see his performance, I call shenanigans on that one. Do or do not. There is no trying with rubber bands.

don’t for get about the famous Vulcan changeup…

In Emily’s defense, she was likely born the year that Undiscovered Country came out, plus or minus one. So she is to be forgiven for not having invested the time in tracking them all down on DVD. But after March she’ll have no excuse.

This reminds me of when Mr. Nimoy was on Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me! He was saying that he was somewhere & Mr Obama flashed the vulcan symbol to him while walking by.

Actually, he said “A presidential candidate.” But, yeah, it wasn’t hard to figure out which one.

Aw man, how come that must have been on one of the Saturdays I wasn’t home!? Because that would have just made my day.

Enjoy. And you’re welcome.

Hey! You just pre-empted me!

Well, thanks anyways

Peter Sagall was so amazingly funny and geerkerific in that interview. I loved every minute of it.

I think it was from this podcast! The righteous interjection “FACE!” totally deserves a comeback.

sigh I knew we shouldn’t have let girls in…
