GWC Podcast #135 (Bonus)

It’s Monday, so it must be BSG 4.5 Webisode 4. Highlights: we notice that virtually nothing happens in this ’sode, speculate further on the origin and meaning of Gaeta’s legal-pad list, suspect the worst as ByBBQ 8 “has a plan,” and wonder what all this means to season 4.5. Don’t forget to call in with your prediction of who’ll die next in Clue format (ex: “Easy in the pilot’s seat with the morpha”) at 214.296.9229. We’ll include our favorites in Wednesday’s bonus ‘cast.

Man, Eights are like baby chicks. You can’t leave them alone with a guy for five minutes, or else they’ll imprint on them.

I wanna know what those numbers are next to the names.
Are they the addresses for their mud tents?
Did the cylons give everyone social security numbers?

How does Gaeta remember them all? He must be like Rain Man.

are those numbers their dog tag numbers?

I’m confused =/

you ain’t alone.

Our quick speculation: dog tags (as previously mentioned) or possibly military times. I really need to go back and look at the screen caps of #4 – it’s clearer this time.

Man, you guys are killing me. I’ve been traveling all week and before that my iPod broke down, so I’m so behind! Thank goodness for a few days off this week!

Hoshi has Racetrak piloting his Raptor for the search…so we know Gaeta will be found. Racetrack finds everything!

The Number are in groups of 7 or 8 listed in blocks of 4.
0000-000 or 0000-0000
different lenghts which is odd, should be the same.
what if the numbers are cylon prison ID TAG numbers?

Confirmed: Netflix has Firefox on demand: Link

Rimpy…let’s setup a Frak par-tay!

Is that a picture of the trinity??

Are we going to get a drunk Christmas podcast??
I REALLY want one

Yay! Audra has “someoned” me!

Name a date & time!

I actually remembered that movie as soon as it was mentioned. I didn’t recall much more about it than the “thinking in Russian” bit, though.

Wear it with pride.

Dog tags have 6 digit number sequences which represent the service number

They could be dates because the execution order signed by Baltar is dated “this second day of 3454-91” (Occupation).

However in the episode “Hero” we got a good view of Adama’s service record which listed date like this:
H5/21290 Birth of William Adama
D6/21311 First commission, Battlestar Galactica, fighter squadron
D1/21331 Recomissioned to Fleet
D6/21337 Major: Battlestar Atlantia
R8/21341 Executive Officer: Battlestar Columbia
C2/21345 Commander: Battlestar Valkyrie
C2/21348 Commander: Battlestar Galactica

Lastly we might be able to rule out 24 hour clocks because some of the number start with numbers higher than 24. The same numbers end with two digits that are higher than 59.

2452 036
0456 032
3449 9443
1967 037
0133 429

A number of these things I got from Battlestar Wiki

7 numbers could be their phone number?

I don’t know, but last night I was rewatching Occupation, and when Tyrol and Anders have the momentary delay in setting off their bomb towards the start of the episode I could swear Anders says “For Christsakes…” If so, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Did the Cylons/NC administration give all the humans i.d. #'s on New Caprica?

I can not find any references to how the Cylon[z] would have number their prisoners.
