GWC Podcast #112

I was literally choking from laughter while watching The Aristocrats. Probably one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I recommended it to several friends and coworkers, every one of whom was utterly horrified. Philistines!

Doesn’t that really depend on the plot and characterizations?

That is really hilarious! I was in college at the time and watched it at home with a friend. He said “that Ra chick is so hot”, to which I responded that “she” was in another movie, with full-frontal nudity, no less. Needless to say, he wanted to go rent it that night…

He didn’t talk to me for more than a week.

Jerry Orbach, of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice

In all honesty, the “baby in the corner” scene is probably the best part of the movie. If you’ve managed to go this long without seeing it, don’t bother.

I wasn’t implying anything, I was just curious. I haven’t seen the movie before, but I’ve heard the line quoted many times. I just now realized from a scan of IMDB that Jennifer’s character’s name was actually Baby. I always imagined the line as self-referential to the speaker and so thought Swayze’s character just used ‘Baby’ as a cute name for himself.

Maybe I should see this movie…

Here you go Phil. Just watch that scene and then when ever anyone asks you if you’ve seen Dirty Dancing just lie and say yes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh god. I’m glad I wasn’t born with ovaries cause I could never see that as good.

Thanks… I fast forwarded through it and saw all I needed to see…

The first two Matrix movies were on TV. Strangely they did not show the 3rd movie. I wonder why?

The plots are always so predictable…

Boy meets girl
Boy and girl exchange inane, stilted banter
Boy and girl frk
Friends arrive
More fr
k
No kissing.

ExacTly.

They need some new twists for their stories.

So you watch it for the great writing and plot twists? Sure. Shouln’t you be talking about this on the gutter thread?

What channel were the movies on?

Not true! Sometimes the hot chick at the bar isn’t even a real woman!

But a Wookie?

Emperor got all butt head ugly when Mace Windu reflected his force lightning back at him. Was he permanently scarred by the lightning, or did it merely reveal his true form, perhaps melting whatever disguise he was using. I tend to think it just revealed the real him, since the force lightning, though it clearly hurts, doesn’t seem to scar flesh, such as Luke’s in ROTJ. Just wondering.
