GWC Podcast #112

If you’re into that…wait…who am I talking too? Of course.

Actually, porn movies are really boring.

What kind of porn movies have YOU been watching?? I’ve always found the tale of the poolboy and the hot, lonely housewife highly representative of how we as individuals are fundamentally oppressed by others belief systems and social mores.

…and the housewife has some tig ol’ biddies how can that be boring!!!

Quick confession…The movie Stargate came out in 1994, and I sat in the theater for the entire showing thinking that Jaye Davidson, who played ‘Ra’, the bad, um, guy, (and who was also in The Crying Game, but I’ve never seen it) was a woman. Never gave it a second thot !
I’m dense like that sometimes !

Hello… Can we please have a spoiler warning…

Well I guess the fact that Jaye Davidson was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar kind of gave it away before you did…

Space Nuts was fun.

LOL OMG bkitty, I can’t stop laughing at your avatar in the Matrix !!:D:D

I’ll be dreaming about following the white rabbit all night. As long as Trinity pops up it should be a good time.

I totally could never tell with Ra… which I thought was awesome and made hir even more alien

By the way, which one’s Baby? Jennifer Grey or Patrick Swayze?

Yep - “the stuff that dreams are made of” - one of the great closing lines.

Now be nice. Jennifer in the movie. Many woman wished Patrick was their “baby”. (Do I need to put a IYKWIM?)

When we brought home our first daughter, my wife suggested we move the crib to the corner. I said, “No, nobody puts baby in the corner.”

One time in my life, the right line, the right time.

well, just in time for the Matrix arch,

great news folks…

They now have Robots with Rat neuro-tissues as brains.

I wasn’t implying anything, I was just curious. I haven’t seen the movie before, but I’ve heard the line quoted many times. I just now realized from a scan of IMDB that Jennifer’s character’s name was actually Baby. I always imagined the line as self-referential to the speaker and so thought Swayze’s character just used ‘Baby’ as a cute name for himself.

Maybe I should see this movie…

Meh. Let me know when they can charge my iPhone…

Rats + Wheel + Tiny Motor = iPhone Charger.

alternatly

Take 2 Rats. Rub Them together. Create Static Electricity. touch rats to a Capacitor. connect capacitor to a charger.

There two forms of slightly dubious Rat iPhone Chargers

LOL! Thanks to Solai for giving me both pills!

blissful ignorance (blue), embracing the sometimes painful truth (red)

I was just joking. The movie is great. Baby is a nickname for a very quiet lady who has a dad who still treats her like one.

Wow, I think a solar cell or just the old electric plug would be much easyer. You would have to feed the rats and there is always the mess to clean up.

I wonder what my students will choose this year?

What about Ghost and Donnie Darko?

The Swayze in a leotard?
