I went back and read (speed reading) through this whole thread earlier. And I think this one ought be awarded a prize for the most twists and turns and awesome visuals.
I was just looking at the GWC Podcast folder, and it’s beefier than mos. Total Posts: 305; Total Views: 3,481. (Wow!). Some less lazy than me needs to make a map for me to chart the epic topic drift. Episdoe critique—>Jamie Bamber’s hair—>Pets----> etc. etc.
A cultural sidenote: I didn’t know much about the Wizard of Oz until I majored in English in college. German kids are raised with Grimm’s Fairy Tales. And they’re actually pretty grim, until Disney turned them into a kind of sham.

You should read the OZ series of books. There is some pretty twisted stuff that L. Frank Baum came up with throughout the series and in his other books. Some of his work can get as dark as Grimm’s Fairy tales. Hehe, for a real head trip you should read his take on Santa Clause.

I wish to say that you should do research on any pet before getting one. German Shepherds are smart but are working dogs that need more than a short walk on a cold day. Australian Shepherds are also a herding breed and are very smart but also high energy. They will keep your children together but will also chase joggers and other fast moving objects if not trained correctly. I help out at a no kill shelter and you would be amazed at why people give up dogs. Oh the dog was two strong for me. Well duh it is a Great Dane. So think about your lifestyle and go through a shelter or rescue group who can help you make the correct choice. Please, remember your new friend cat or dog will live 12-20 years if you are lucky.
Since we must get back to topic. Scifi channel has Charlie Jade, Doctor Who, The Battlestar Galactica. Firefly is also on today. We Will be on topic soon.

I have heard that it is a fantastic but complicated show. It is not an American product and not made by Sci Fi. I think it was made a few years ago so I do not know how many shows were made. I only have heard good things about it. They do warn that you can not blink or get a snack or you will miss something important. I would give a try. Charlie Jade, Doctor Who, then BG what a night.
Yes! Wise choices are well-rewarded! G-dog was from a rescued litter, and I was lucky that my friend worked at that particular site and helped guide me to my dear boy!
