Jersey … of all places…
OT is a real Beaver Cleaver expert, it would seem!
Good luck, I hope you two can stop the leakage.
Hmmm…I suspect this is an imposter.
Guilty. Then again, it was only first on TV 45 years ago. Best not ask me what I was doing at this same time yesteray, though. No fraking idea.
It takes a rare intellect to appreciate the subtle points of the Larry Mondelo character.
Hey, what did you expect? I can’t be everywhere at the same time. I was playing with my Indy toys and beating killer ants with my whip.
Just reminds me of the dirtiest thing ever said on network TV…
Mrs. Cleaver: Gee Ward, I think you were awfully hard on the Beaver last night…
…can’t…resist…
IYKWIM
I must confess I have not read all 27 pages of comments (sometimes I miss the old non-forum days – sorry if that makes me an old fuddy-duddy, but I am sure I am missing some good stuff now just for lack of time!) – but talking about characters who live backwards, this is also how T.H. White explains Merlyn’s ability to “foretell” the future in The Once and Future King.
Oh, and to your caller looking for BSG, Scott in Washington – Get or get a friend who has a Zune. BSG is available in the Zune Marketplace. As someone who was given a Zune last Christmas and who had a lot of intial disappointment that there was no video, it is a huge relief to finally have BSG – not to mention Heroes, SNL, Daily Show and Colbert Report, The Office, et al. – available for legal and easy download.
Maybe this was covered in Podcast 101 (to which I haven’t yet listened) and that’s why it came up; and I realize it’s too bad for iTunes users – but for those of us with Zunes, it is a nice time.
Certainly overall the most attractive cast in Trek history, if nothing else.
And Head Lance.
The very definition of a mullet. Ugh.
Make sure to count to five.
Well, that pretty much wraps up this line of discourse. Allow me to throw into the mix a personal favorite of mine - whether, given the Opera House implications, the 13th Tribe consisted of opera loving Italians in search of a planet on which to build a new La Scala. It would explain a lot and be quite a shock.
Commenting on another thread reminded me of that while they don’t actually live their lives backward in time, Orkans are hatched as elderly individuals and age backwards into childhood…
For the longest time, I thought that’s where the slang was born.
No…it is where Wally and Beave were born. HOO-YAH!
As usual, you make some great points!
and you’re killin’ me! lol!
nice zing!
He was 1/2 schipperke and 1/2 cocker spaniel. A lot of people thought he was a lab puppy well into his adult-hood! He had the trademark skip’s ululating bark- kind of like a gargling tarzan scream. I can sometimes reproduce it, but only when I wanted to mess with him- he put up with so much! lol! Very patient with Mommy’s funny games. lol!
Edit: … finally got through the thread… and realised GR restrained himself for IYKWIMing that one!
You’re not kidding - I was frakking around on the forums for quite some time at work this evening and I only got halfway along this thread!
Your dog must have been patient to allow you to dress him up and the take pictures. I bet you showed the pictures to his friends too.
