Matt Stover is retired, so no worries there.
Ok. Everyone who used waivers (plus those who didn’t), don’t forget to update your Trading Blocks and lineups for Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
No one else wanted Jerome Harrison? I’m shocked!
Alright, I’ll check over my roster tonight. I took 2 kickers for my bye…but I think that’s gone now so I can drop my backup for someone else.
My question for this week right now is…Rogers has been really solid for me at QB, but with the Steelers at Detroit on Sunday, I’m thinking he might be the better pick. Thoughts?
It pains me to say that about Detroit, but in fantasy I have to face reality, not play fan girl.
…
You have Ben Roethlisberger, the third ranked QB among all quarterbacks for week 5, on your bench… I’ll trade Orton for him if you want. (:
The danger with Big Ben this week is that it’s not a particularly difficult game. With Mendenhall playing so well last week and the team wanting to try Parker out a bit, and an expected big lead, I’d expect the Steelers to jump out early and then protect the lead.
Well, Rogers has a bye this week so I am playing him regardless.
My kicker has a bye in week 8, should I waiver my back-up & pick up a WR?
OK McFadden had surgery & is out & looks like it’s confirmed that Tayler woll have surgery as well. Do I place them on waiver? If so how? Do I just drop them or is that putting them on waivers?
God I’m such a n00b!
Find a player who is available and add them to your roster. You will receive a prompt indicating that you have to drop a player. Drop McFadden like he has the plague and complete.
Default Prophet, way to lull me into a false sense of security. Nice last minute line up change. I was wondering which QB you’d pick.
Yeah, I’ll be in the Week 5 Smack talk again.
Hehe. Aset is planning for next week already. (:
Bold choice.

I’m putting up my fence boyo can’t be bothered with all this internet nonsense
Sims-Walker is a surprise inactive for Sunday’s game against Seattle due to a violation of team rules, the Jaguars’ official site reports.
The heck!!? I’m just hearing about this now? So, unfair!!
Edit: His team lost 41-0, so I guess they must feel worse than I do (if barely).
I started Garrard in the league I run after dropping Hasselbeck. I think Sims-Walker really opened up that offense, and without him, the whole darned team imploded.
Surprise inactives and shady coaches (like Belichek) are never fun. You have my sympathy. In said other league, I had to start Welker becuase my entire bench was FULL on Bye. And I had to start Wes Welker without knowing if he’d even play.
This is what I mean by the universe conspiring against me. I didn’t realize I have to check player statuses before afternoon and evening games. So, I’m using my loss as a teachable moment™ for everyone else. I’m spamming F5 on my team page before kickoffs from now on.
Good game, Default Prophet. Losing by 4 points (or any amount) this way is very painful, but I’ll feel better if Thomas Jones doesn’t perform as well. d: I would have been forced to put Pierre Garcon in if I had the chance. So, I take a bit of solace in him scoring 0 points.
starts planning for next week
So many mistakes. I could have won if I kept the kicker that I waivered. Could have won if I had not played Jerome Harrison and Mike Sims-Walker (gonna always be bitter about that last minute inactive). If I had played Thomas Jones instead of anyone except Peterson, I could have won. I would have played Manningham over Jones though, so it was fate. Even if I had heard about Sims-Walker, I could have only put in Garcon, who scored 0, so that too must be fate. sigh
My bench scored 52 points (compared to 77 in my lineup), but 34 were by 2 players. Jerome Harrison was a bust, but I had to get rid of Sproles. My team scored a full 50 points below their projected total. The previous record was around 40.
Bright side is I was right about Orton out-performing Eli, Clark out-performing Celek, and Westbrook out-performing Fred Jackson. I feel like a mere mortal because my projected score for week 6 s only 112. d: I was hoping for a better outlook going against our league’s number one team. I was hoping for a battle of the undefeated against Kent Jakway’s Team of Intent Calamitous, but the universe made me pay for my arrogance. d:
Time to look forward to the playoffs. d:
P.S. Now that my rant is over, I have two requests. Please check for e-mails you get from other league owners. And, when you get an e-mail, please respond in a timely manner. I sent a trade proposal e-mail Thursday, and I’ve yet to even receive an acknowledgement of it’s receipt. Thanks for bearing with my rant and listening to my requests.
If you skipped reading my previous post, please heed my requests in the P.S. Thanks.
