Really, at the end of the season, that’s how it happense. One manager is exultant and bathed in glory. The rest grumble about the stupid game, how we lost that one time by one point, fold our arms across our chests, pout, and swear it off.
I have to say that I’m rooting for the guy. He’s paid his dues and is trying to rebuild his life, I can respect that. I hope he can keep it together too, there won’t be any second chances. And another thing, he’s great to watch. Man can he run the ball well.
He’s a fascinating story. I just didn’t want to lose my chance to break into the Fab Four playoff group last week.
He did some terrible things and he LIED about it until his friends flipped on him, but the world is full of people who make mistakes. He served his sentence, paid his dues to get back into the game witha year on the bench, and deserves the opportunity to put his life back together.
And pay off some staggering debt.
The Eagles have to be very happy about dumping McNabb while having two awesome QBs on their team.
I just wish ESPN’s projectiosn weren’t so inflated. I was projected for 142 points last week. I knew that wasn’t going to happen, but I was something like 55 points off of that. Not even close. A touchdown’s worth of points off every position, almost.
That being said, while I cannot watch Thursday games, they do extend the fantasy week, and that’s always interesting.
Why the FRAK did I leave Jennings on the bench this week? 33 Frakkin points!!! This is killing me! And Mendenhall- you can’t score more points against the Raiders? Not a fun week for me. Here’s hoping Denver kicks ass again this week like they did last week!
Okay. Despite a combined -1 from the Lions’ D and Visanthe Shiancoe (and yet I still pick up Rice for future use…), I’m within 4 points going into tonight’sgame. And I have to win if I want to control my own destiny.
I’ll be crushed if I lose, of course, but at the same time, I can’t really ask for a more exciting game than I’ve got going this weekend. Good times.
Agreed, win or lose it has been one of the best fantasy football games I’ve been involved with in a long time. It seems fitting that it comes down to a duel of QBs on MNF.
Kyle Orton pulled a few poitns out of the 4th quarter to get me back into this week’s must-win game. Now I need more points from my Vinateiri/Wayne combo. It’s kind of a limited ceiling option since they’re tired to the same offense, but if I can get maybe 20 combined, I’ll feel like I’ve got a fighting chance going up against two studs tomorrow night.
And yeah, I’ve got the Lions D. I didn’t much care to pick a D in the early rounds this year, and the depth of the league caught me by surprise. The waiver options week to week are terrible.
