The theory here came from talks I had with friends about some characters in anime who are over the top on energy/insanity. We usually said they had eaten crack for breakfast, as the only way to have that energy/insanity. Marie is the broken main computer for a starship who is constantly making funny faces and noises, and communicates without any words. The broken-ness leads to him occasionally (and hilariously) messing up teleportation orders, refusing to function, etc. Kaola is constantly putting together crazy machines, from flying metal turtles to a full sized horse robot. If she ever concentrated sheād destroy the world (A good alternate for her would be Ed from Cowboy Bebop). Recon was once again my weakness, until I remembered Spartan 1337 from Halo Legends. Incompetence with Bravado and a whole lot of luck. After these greats, Aisha was a shoo-in for Martial Artist, as sheās the craziest hands on fighter I know of.

My second gender balanced team, this was a collections of perhaps overlooked characters from anime who could all kick butt and take names in their own way. I would have to point out that, besides Armitage, all these are only secondary characters from their anime, but still are incredibly qualified for their jobs.

And after all of this I couldnāt resist making a Final Fantasy Team. I had thought of tossing Cid in as a pilot, but then I couldnāt think of a tech man other than Rikku from FFX. Selphie could double as a pilot/driver, she piloted the Ragnarok in VIII, but I thought Balthier was a much better (and classier choice). Of the Martial Artists, I only know the later ones, (Yuffie, Tifa, Amarant, and Yang (though heās from III I think), and of them Tifa seemed to clearly stand in a class of her own. Recon was more difficult (as always), but I decided to toss Squall in there as all that training as a super elite mercenary must be worth something. And heās a hero.
Repeat, these ARE NOT choices for teams or alternates, just thrown here as idea starters or amusement.

Maximillian Sterling and Roy Focker were both in the running for Pilot on my team, but I felt Corranās budding Jedi talents would give him an edge other pilots would not have.
I had been planning on Coran as my Recon guy until you snagged him. Rebel Alliance Training, Former CorSec Investigator, Jedi Abilities, Fighter Pilot, he had it coming and going. Not to mention the Force Suggestions to make people believe they hadnāt seen him.
For a while I thought of stealing Wraith Squadron, because they always got the job done with the hijinks included, but I eventually dropped that one.
Max Sterling was also one of my early favorites. Decided to go with someone a little more reckless and over the top. However, might I recommend Launchpad McQuack. āIf it flies, I can crash it.ā
