GWC Community V2 Team Discussion

OK, thanks to Sean, I now have the official cards for my team.

I’m still learning a lot in ‘‘internet knowledge’’ but I pretty much guess that’s something like what I mean.

Uchiha Daisuke made a terrific Job!!!

Shooter’s Team: Name TBD

Pilot/Driver: Maj Don West (1998 Lost in Space)
Tech Expert: Louis Nichols (Robotech, 2nd Ed & Extended Robotech Universe)
Recon: Laura Croft (Tomb Raider)
Martial Arts Expert: Xena (Xena The Warrior Princess)

Sean is the one who found it and it is awesome. I did a little googling and found a bigger version. Apparently its fanart of what Wheeljack would look like in a live action movie.

It is pretty sweet and better than any pictures I was finding.

doh, guess i never hit submit the other day, but here is my team cards

Thanks again to Sean for the complete awesomeness!

Running a little late, but I’d still like to participate. Here’s my team:

Team Moppet

Pilot/Driver: D.A.R.Y.L.
Tech Expert: Micah Sanders (of Heroes)
Recon: Hit Girl
Martial Artist: Toph Bei Fong

I thought it’d be fun to have an all-kid team.

Shooter’s Team: Team Wild

Pilot/Driver: Maj Don West (1998 Lost in Space)
Tech Expert: Louis Nichols (Robotech, 2nd Ed & Extended Robotech Universe)
Recon: Laura Croft (Tomb Raider)
Martial Arts Expert: Xena (Xena The Warrior Princess)

Hey all, sorry haven’t been posting on the forum, my free time’s way down lately. Also behind on the podcasts, barely made it in time to choose my team. That’s what I get I guess. Anyway, this time I’m going in the opposite direction, with a sprinkle of retro.

Team Jinkies

Driver: Fred Jones

Drives the Mystery Machine, not much more. Special power, he’s “The Planner”.

Tech: Velma Dinkley

Can draw conclusions from unlikely sources, also handy in making whatever wacky device is needed.

Recon: Scooby-Doo

Master of disguise and running away.

Martial Artist: Neo

Knows a variety of martial arts, but can’t use any of them outside of the matrix (which will be most of the time). Can influence some machines when in proximity, and if he gets to hack in, all bets are off.

As I will be attempting to frame each challenge as an episode of Scooby Doo, I will be invoking “lucky happenstance” multiple times. Sean, if you feel it comes to close to godlike “lucky happenstance”, feel free to call me on it.

Holy Cow-WOW!!!

Thanks to the Rev for the ossim cards, served with a side of ossim, smothered in ossim sauce!!

bows

:DThankyouthankyouthankyou!!!

I keep seeing OSSIM, what does it mean

It’s just a phonetic spelling of Awesome.

Although I’m sure we can ret-con it into some sort of acronym.

Obviously Some Shinyness Is Missing

Since greatness (in geekdom) is now measured by the amount of gloss an item has. :stuck_out_tongue:

Correct Spelling: Lara Craft (my bad)

How about Lara Croft? Corrected in the table.

(crack knuckles, ok, I dont post on here much but I do listen alot, this is the one ive been waiting for. I missed on the last one and I was gutted so here we go, Team Noirs line is -

Pilot - Hikaru Sulu - he travels 400 years into the past and can fly a helicopter, he can handle himself with a blade and damn that make has a smooth voice!

Tech - BA Baracus - all the man needs is 3 mins, some inspirational music and some welding gear and the man can build anything!

Recon - Frenzy - sneaky little bugger armed to the teeth, and when not sneaking can provide the inspirational music for BA to work with!

Martial Artist - Jubei Kibagami (check out the anime ninja scroll…just plain…awesome) what this man cant do with a sword…cant be done with a sword its as simple as that. he never backs down never gives up.

Thats team Noir, watch how we roll! FOOL! BA save it!

Welcome dantedude! Unfortunately there is a conflict. Solai has already chosen Wash. You’ll have to pick a different Pilot.

thats why we at team Noir always has a back up! how you like them apples! if you dont, we have pears, failing that grapes.

Sulu! Nicely played. Well done.

PILOT:

HAN SOLO
Strengths: If he could make that bucket of bolts known as the Millenium Falcon avoid detection on a Star Destroyer, fly out of a Space Worm’s gullet, and most unwisely, fly down the ventilation shaft of the Death Star, well, what CAN’T he do at the pilot’s wheel?
Weaknesses: “Uh, Mr. Solo, it says here on your resume’ that you can do the Kessel Run in twelve parsecs, do you care to elaborate on that a bit?”

TECH EXPERT

The Professor from Gilligan’s Island!
Strengths: This dude was insanely resourceful on using whatever was on the island to make brilliant inventions that modernized a tropical island to such a point of convenience, the entire crew chose to go back, even when they had the option to go home. Of course that’s how it was! The dude could achieve ANYTHING with coconuts and palm fronds…
Weaknesses: …except when it came to fixing the boat and getting them home. If any future challenges are to get the team home, this guy becomes a RAGING burden!

RECON EXPERT

ODDJOB, From the GoldenEye video game
Strengths: Even midgets make fun of him for his size! Of course the rest of us just cursed his existence, especially if you stupidly picked Jaws in the game. His size makes him capable of pretty much slipping into any crack or crevice to get behind enemy lines. And he’s stupidly fast, too! Even if he WAS discovered on a recon mission, you could launch a nuclear warhead at this guy, and he’d somehow have deftly scattered out of its range of death. That’s right–he’s the cockroach of first-person shooters.
Weaknesses: His low-poly model doesn’t really make him blend in very well anywhere but a Lego factory.

MARTIAL EXPERT

Kratos, from God of War
Strengths: Long-range, short-range, this guy can do it all with his dual bloody blades and additional powers he accumalates, like Golden Fleeces and head of Medusa. Not only that, but the man knows no fear, and size makes no difference. Collosus of Rhodes? Check. Monstrous hydra? Oh, please, that was SO PS2! Cyclops with tree trunks? They only got one eye, and he gets a sick joy out of blinding them.
Weaknesses: He’s got a short fuse, and a real vindictive streak. He seems like the kind of psycho roommate that’d hunt you down for borrowing an extra cup of milk, even though you left a note saying you needed some for a bowl of cereal, and would be paying him back with an entirely new carton on the way home from work that day. Other weakness: he gets those blades spinning, NOTHING is sacred. They’re not necessarily an ACCURACY weapon, if ya catch my drift!

Question: Kratos kinda phases in and out of being a god, so can he be an exception on the mortal phase of his gameplay? Let me know. Already got a back-up, in case it isn’t.
