Having seen your (and family’s) costumes, I’d say go with the deckhand rig or colonial officer/enlisted uniforms. (Or hell, Stargate costumes. I’d lay 2-to-1 odds that everyone at the event will “get” them as well. :))
And to anyone who hasn’t seen Steve’s marine getup, it’s 100% badass.
Obviously if any of this changes – like we end up booking 20-25 rooms and we have a little more weight at the hotel, etc. – I’ll pass it on.
Working on rounding up a new costume as I speak…er…type. 
ETA: Alright, I should be able to be there in costume now. Need to fix up my wife’s deckhand costume and we should be good to go.

Do a search for racerback. Think that should work.
I’ve seen them as party of the BSG costumes that are sold online, they’d be cheap now.

The Colonial Fleet website is without a doubt the best source for any costuming information for BSG. If you couldn’t find them there then you are going to have to assemble something that looks similar but definitely looks different compared to a set that is screen accurate.
I think I might possibly have an extra set. I will see and maybe I can make a deal with someone.
What size do you think you would want?
