wow - calling IGN’s review of GTA IV glowing and worshipful and would be an understatement. The line that really caught me is that this is the best game since Zelda, Ocarina of Time, widely considered the best game ever made.
I’ve never really dived into this series due to some misogynistic details like killing prostitutes after banging them, but I’m drinking the kool-aid this time around. Looking forward to what Gamespot has to say.

The whole killing a hooker after banging her is a something not everyone does. Peronally I did it once back in GTA3 just to see what happened. But really the thing of the game is you can play it anyway you want to. You can go screw a hooker and kill her to get your money back (and more money that she had on her) but you don’t have to.
Niiiiice. 
I’m more of a Legend of Zelda gal myself.

Yeah I am frantically awaiting this game! i couldnt believe the IGN review, but then again - I sort of could. i expected this game to live up to the hype. The multiplayer mode is going to be so soo great, I just cant hardly wait for this. The only thing worse it waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4. Im going out of my mind waiting for that.
Well I turn on my 360 to find half my friends list playing GTA 4 but I won’t have mine till around saturday or monday because the shipping was expensive on amazon. Horrible thing to do especially when a game like gta comes out… I can see the stories at the 6 o’clock news now. 
the greatest thing about this series for me is the immersion into the fictional city in which each takes place. it should really go over well with the capabilities of the 360, and i would think it would make it an endlessly replayable game.
Did you read about the capabilities of the PS3 version compared to the 360 version? I am so glad Im getting the PS3 version!
no i hadn’t, as i don’t have either system, but i can imagine it’ll be awesome for any next-gen system.
I have seen and read the comparisons, and honestly, the PS3 version is perhaps .08% better. I have it for the 360 and it plays just fine, and the load times are miniscule +no pop ups.
My only complaint about the game is I am hating the camera, and how it sometimes free roams trying to get the best view.
I’m busy with work so having drouble getting into it, but so far it seems cool. I am anxious to see what depth is there - I am only on mission 3. Anyone have any spoiler-free info? =)
I’ve heard the benefits of the PS3 version are about as equal to the disadvantages, and the same for the 360.
It just comes down to which controller you prefer (or in my case, which console you have/don’t have).
I dunno. This promo doesn’t look promising…

You know, this is one of the few games that would almost make me go and buy a PS3. But I’m not quite ready to pull the trigger on that one yet. I’ll wait a bit longer for another price drop.

Nope, I don’t have a 360 either. I can certainly hold out for a while though.
Oh well I own both and I just wanna throw it out there, it’s cheaper and has better exclusive titles out now and better downloadable content. So if I was you I would get 360. Unless you are a complete and total sony freak or if you are going to want the new Metal Gear Solid. LoL
Plus on the 360 you can try the awesomely fraktastic “Mass Effect”… wonder if Audra, Chuck and Sean ever heard about this game?
