LOL.
Why is it that HR people are ususally the kind of people that you want to strangle within two minutes?

They use phrases like areas of opportunities, and regional employment dynamics, and otherwise speak out there asses, or as I like say they, lie. but all things being equal I don’t think I want them “Strangled” I just want people to speak to me honestly and truthfully which will never happen.
But who knows there is always hope for tomorrow
This is me trying with all my heart to be an optimist
how about them Patriots, a good game i thought.
Oh yeah any North American football fans in here? if so whose your team. Mine is the Patriots, most of my good memories with my father are watching their games together.
Ok, given recent conversations and musings it is appropriate to give this thread a nudge and get it going again. This is a thread about nothing…whatever is on your mind. The community pool if you will.
I hate thank you notes. Strike that…I like thank you notes, I just hate forcing myself to write them. I want to write them when I am thankful for the gift, after having used it and really can pour myself into explaining why this was so wonderful. Otherwise, thank you notes just feel insincere.
Dear Solai,
I am writing this note to thank you so much for your post.
I just realized that GWC’s KMethas is wedged alphabetically between Eric Clapton and Crash Test Dummies in my iTunes list. How cool.
Yours Sincerely

I thought that was what the gutter and arm porn threads were for.
Thank you notes do suck. I prefer a phone call or something more personal. That way people KNOW how grateful I am, you know?
Me, I have no complaints. No randomness. I’m enjoying my last week before going back to work by procrastinating like mad. My wife had some interviews today (fingers crossed) and I’m a step closer to securing at least one pretty significant commission which will pay handsomely if it comes to full fruition. Life feels pretty good right now, even if still precarious (hey, we should be grateful for what we have, you know?).
Today was Three Kings Day for people from hispanic/Latin American cultures. We haven’t been too consistent about observing it, but I was feeling homesick and patriotic, so my six year old and I picked some grass for the camels to eat last night and put that in a shoebox along with a bowl of water under the Christmas tree. The kids got a little loot (not much. These magi are poor–Santa has the big bucks and ate the presents budget): the oldest got four Junie B. Jones books which she’d hoped she’d get for Christmas and Elena got her first baby doll and a bilingual book.
And the January 16th DC frak party/meet up is on!
It was a good day.
It’s really windy, and my building is swaying a lot. I’m sitting at in my living room and watching my ceiling light swaying back and forth rhythmically. It’s freaky… this is why I don’t like high rise buildings.
No, those threads have pretty specific purposes.
If this is the pool, what are the rules about skinny-dipping and where is the pool bar?
Skinny-dipping should be conducted after hours when all the children have gone to bed and security is looking the other way.
The pool bar is in the pool, duh.
Wow, if I am saying this, it obviously was two years ago.
Hey GR: what in the world is “Bizarro New Jersey?” I thought New Jersey was “bizarro” enough!
Why doesnt “:))” give me a smiley with a double chin?
Guess what? My niece is famous. She got her picture in the Aberdeen American News as the main picture for an article on the local car show last weekend.
