Sounds like you’re going to have a blast, GR! If a storm, earthquake, or other act of God diverts you to the St. Louis area, drop me a PM. And definitely next year, if you do end up in Chicago and/or Kansas City, we’ll have to meet up. Happy trails!

I’m planning on coming down to NYC to see you, if you’ll have the time. Are you still arriving in Newark NJ around 1pm? And are you headed for Forbidden Planet?
The plane’s scheduled to land at 12:59pm, yes, I don’t know how long it will take us to clear customs and immigration, pick up the car and get into Manhattan (we plan on taking the ferry from NJ) but I figure we should be at the southern tip of Manhattan by 3 or 4 pm. And from there, we’ll improvise, the GF wants to do some sightseeing, I’d like to go to Forbidden Planet, we’ll just have to see how much time we’ll have left to do that.
What did you have in mind? We’ll definitely have to hit a Subway/or similar for dinner at some point…
Well, I know about as much about New York City as you do…maybe less! I’ll be lost there without trusty Badgerspoon by my side, in fact. But I’d love to catch up with you two somewhere and say hello. How long will you be in NYC? I don’t want to tie up your time together too much, but I’d be an asshat if I didn’t come see you! GR In America. Should be a documentary!
Now TG - you at least know how to find Times Square 
- and the Pax Wholesome Foods (now that we remember the name). And don’t forget the pubs we went to - they are pretty easy to find and close to a subway stop. And you may remember how to find the burger place??
I MAY be able to come up after work, but it will be questionable as my boss is in town that week.

Talos: I’ll probably head in early, get to the city and hang out for the morning. My last trip in with the running and being late wasn’t the way to go at all! And I may be bringing Shadowace as well, if his schedule works out. Then we’ll hop the late train back homeward.
LOL okay Rae, I might not be that clueless, at least around the Times Square area I’m good.

We’ll be at the southernmost tip of Manhattan on August 21st, at approximately 4:30pm and we’re sort of confining our sightseeing there to downtown Manhattan/south of Greenwich Village due to time restrictions (have to catch the last ferry out at 9:40pm)
If anybody already knows for certain that they’ll meet up with us (other than Topgun and FT), let me know soon so that I can organize gifts!
