Fringe

Good eye you have there.
Since season 1 they included nearly everytime a hidden clue for the next episode. Like this one for Marionette:

Here’s the full list: http://fringepedia.net/wiki/Next_Episode_Clue

After BSG this has to be one of my favorite Sct-Fi shows.
This season has been amazing. I thought just introducing an alternate universe was brilliant in itself and how the cst portayed their alternate selves was so well done. Now they are introducing a new element that is very interesting, the concept of the firest people and their technology is very exciting and looking foward to where they go with this.

Well, try to help it get the numbers it needs this spring. Fox has moved it to the Friday Night Death Slot to make room for football and Idol.

Fringe is on tonight!! Wooot!!!

Diddo…Cant wait

Double ditto

This video concerns me. I like hearing the message. I feel reassured. But it does all come down to fans turning on their TVs and/or paying for iTunes downloads. That’s the only way it’s going stay on the air. Sure, Thursday night was really rough for Fringe–it’s THE big night of TV.

But Friday nights… the only show I’ve ever stayed home on Fridays to watch is BSG. And I like Fringe a lot (it’s my favorite non-canceled show airing right now) but I probably will end up relying on Hulu a lot more now that it’s on Fridays.

I’m trying to be upbeat about the move. Plenty of shows on Friday nights have gotten 4 and 5 seasons. Smallville. Friday Night Lights. That stupid show Numbers. Maybe this will be a great slot.

But it concerns me that this type of anticipating-negative-fan-reaction statement seemed necessary to the producers.

Regardless, I have Kitchen Nightmare on mute right now, in eager anticipation of more Fringe! Hooray!

I haven’t watched the last episode yet (will do it tonight), but this spoiler-free review makes me all the more excited for it.
Question to the moderators: Isn’t it time, that we could get a Fringe section in the Television, Movies and Books sub-forum?

Walter’s challenges are just beginning, judging from tomorrow’s Fringe episode

We’ve seen tomorrow night’s all-new episode of Fringe, and we’re happy to say the show’s continuing its winning streak. John Noble is still bringing the finest comic timing and raw pain to television, and Anna Torv’s never been better.

Love this episode! It wrinkled my brain and made me shed a tear. Oh, Walter. Poor freaking guy.

Random thoughts:

  • Doc Brown! I didn’t know he was guest starring, so very awesome to see him. His scenes with Walter were terrific.
  • Astrid remains the OSSIM, while I’m still ambivalent towards Broyles (Alt Broyles, on the other hand, I was devastated when he died. It’s weird how quickly I got attached to Alt Broyles, yet real Broyles’s been around for a while, but I have no real attachment towards the guy, even though I freaking love the actor.)
  • I also really like the ongoing complication for Peter and Olivia. The thing is, Peter had a legitimate reason why he didn’t know he was with Fauxlivia, and Olivia has a legitimate reason for being angry about it. I’ve never really understood the attracton between the two (other than them being 2 of the 3 leads of the show, so in tv world, obviously it should happen) until this season, and it’s interesting to see them play this complication out in a very real way (where sometimes, crap happens, and it isn’t any one’s fault).
  • In the scene where The Observer and Peter were at the rooftop, and The Observer was saying how difficult it is to be a father, for a split second, I thought he wasn’t talking about Walter but Peter, and that Fauxlivia is pregnant. Which really irked me.
  • I read somewhere that the ratings for this episode was on par with the Thursday ratings, so if this keeps going, there shouldn’t be a reason why Fox would axe the show.
    Here’s hoping! fingers crossed

I like Broyles, but I agree I was much more emotionally-attached to alt-Broyles. I think this is because the storylines for alt-Broyles were more personal and you got to see a real character arc for him, whereas our Broyles started out as an antagonist for Olivia and then became her solid supporter, but we haven’t seen much of his personal or private life, not a lot of his point of view.

I didn’t catch that vibe from the rooftop scene, but your interpretation seems to work in retrospect. It wouldn’t be unusual for Fringe dialogue to mean one thing in the context of that particular episode, but then to have wider meaning down the road. I hope they don’t go that direction, because it would be kind of soap-opera-ish.

Is back, bitches!!!

Great to see this news from his twitter account, although I heard some rumors about that a few months ago.

It makes me mighty curious to see more of our Broyles’ personal life. I hope we get some this season!

A quick blurb about another “1985” Peter ep.

That sounds both amazing and gut wrenching

That sounds amazing! I’m so excited! Peter is IMO one of the best episodes of the show.
