Totally agreed–I posted something similar way earlier in the frak party. Even if it wasn’t a choice that he seriously considered, it was still an option other than passively allowing both Liv and the baby to die.

So all in all, an entertaining episode but not one that will stick wiht me.
Except for the baby part… how are they going to fit that into the Faux- and O- character arcs?

What I’d like to see: The baby wields the weapon instead of Peter thereby melding the universes.

What I think will happen: Peter & Fauxlivia go back to their 'verse w/ the baby after Peter stops the destruction, killing the universe we know.

As with BSG, I will be utterly wrong.

Since they are talking a lot about her sister Rachel, I believe it is more genetic.

I hate when tv tries to take on abortion as a side issue. And I hate when it tries to take on abortion as a central issue. So.

That big-eared jowly mask was very surreal. As were the ducks. I wonder if this is just a neighborhood in the city or if she’s somehow been transported to somewhere else entirely?

That scene with Fauxlivia stumbling around in Chinatown was very reminiscent of Sydney Bristow waking up in Hong Kong at the end of Season 2. :eek:

They really had be believe that she would die in that scene. In many TV shows, I would have thron that idea away, but in LOST and here in Fringe, I really am concerned that they have the guts to kill one of their main characters (which Fauxlivia is now IMO).

He had a choice. He knew about her condition. Either watch as she goes through gestation and watch them both die. Or roll the dice and do it this way. By the way he did it it doesn’t track back to him YET. Remember Astrid is still working on who would know about her condition. She is going to put the pieces together.

You hit the nail on the head! Walternate probably knew of Fauxlivia’s condition and gambled with accelerating the grow of the fetus so he can save his life and then later to use him to operate the machine.

I agree, with one small alteration, what matters to Walternate is what he wants, the child itself doesn’t actually matter at all.

Kind of a predictable plot - I mean, was it even meant to be a surprise when they reveal that Walternate was behind it? Because I thought that was obvious when they talked about the tracker being classified, so I was expecting another twist. And, not sure how ominous stealing…a blood sample is. It would be in hospital records and stuff anyway.

But, well acted, I’m always a fan when Bubbles comes back, and I LOVE that Lincoln and Charlie are now onto Walternate. It’s time someone over there care about deadBroyles.
