I’m still hurting from the nano nerf:(
lol, I’ve been playin for 2yrs and I’m finally in a position where I am part of a sov holding corp/alliance and can fly/afford a super, and their gonna make them mostly worthless…
I do enjoy my chimera tho, even if its worthless for pvp
My employment history reads like a list of failed and broken alliances. Bruce, Axiom Empire, Digital Renegades, Minor Threat, IT…AAA seems to have a more cohesive structure that doesn’t rely on the ego of holding certain sov or whatever, they’ve come back from a few beatings. Including one that my corp helped IT give them, lol!
lol, yeah I’ve heard AAA has been pushed into NPC space before and come back out. Hopefully ur employment history will take a turn for the better though, just don’g join Goons
Yeah, -A- has proved to be one of the more resilient alliances in game. When my corp was in IT we pushed them out of Catch and they fell back to Stain like we are now, and pretty much installed Initiative in their place. As soon as the opportunity arose, -A- started taking space back and due to internal problems within IT and the TEST/Goon invasion of Fountain IT was unable to assist Init against -A-. That wasn’t the first time things went down like that for them, either.
-A- is the first alliance I’ve been in with a true pvp culture. They exist to fight. I think that’s why they’ve survived and will continue to do so, because our identity as an alliance isn’t tied to holding certain space or something that can be taken.
Bruce was just a bunch of noobs who managed to grab some good space but didn’t know how to hold it. Axe was nothing more than a BoB pet, when BoB got disbanded Axe had no purpose and fell apart. Minor Threat fell apart due to internal friction (don’t they all) and the corp cleared out when the CEO and FC had real life issues and disappeared for a while. (That corp AM0K. is now one of the main corps in Goonswarm Federation, ugh) That’s when I joined Maverick Navy which was in IT and they were retaking Fountain from PL and Goons. IT was lean and mean, getting stuff done like they had a purpose. Once they had the old BoB space back, they had accomplished what they had reformed for and they got fat and lazy. When TEST came for Fountain they suffered a rift between the new IT corps and the old BoB corps. Us new guys felt like we were pulling more than our share, while the old guard like RKK and DICE sat in Delve farming sanctums and building supers. Like all alliances, the pressure from the outside only exploited the inner weaknesses, and IT fell apart. When IT started bleeding corps we left for -A- and don’t regret our decision. We fit in really well, and the alliance mindset is similar to that of our corp. I think it’s gonna work.
How things change in Eve one minute your in a great alliance next minute they get disbanded in a blink of a eye thats how fluid eve can be. really miss my domi and Hyperion. till i upgrade my computer no eve for me
Also… One minute, you’re playing eve on a sub-par, 4 year old laptop. The next, you need a new PC to run it or EVE burnt out your pc. d:
CCP said they are trying to fix that though. d:
I’m hurting from the torpedo changes.
Don’t get me started on when they did away with 90 day GTCs. Now, a 30 day PLEX costs more than a 90 day GTC used to.
That’s quite a history. I’ve mostly been in high-sec industry and just recently moved into 0.0 and started learning about the “politics” there. My friend who got me into the game brought me into a corp right away that was fairly small and pretty much afraid of even jumping into low sec in shuttles much less going into 0.0.
As for the computer stuff, I’ve been fortunate that my grandfather has been building custom desktops for the family since the early 90’s so I’ve always had a good gaming computer and when I could afford my own stuff in high school and now college I keep it over4powered for my “school work” (Engineering and programming)
Let me know if you need any help specing out a cheap pc for eve or finding cheap parts, eve is not as much fun when you’re just looking at screen shots and youtube vids.

CCP Games CEO issues letter of apology to EVE Online players
http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/10/05/ccp-games-ceo-issues-letter-of-apology-to-eve-online-players/
'In a letter to the EVE Online community today, Hilmar delivered a humble apology for everything that happened. “The estrangement from CCP that many of you have been feeling of late is my fault, and for that I am truly sorry,” he began. “In short, my zeal for pushing EVE to her true potential made me lose sight of doing the simple things right. I was impatient when I should have been cautious, defiant when I should have been conciliatory and arrogant when I should have been humble.”
The letter goes on to tackle everything from the removal of ship spinning and the release of the captain’s quarters as a full expansion to CCP’s plans for the future. In an accompanying devblog, CCP Zulu provided an impressive list of in-space features aimed for the winter development period. The list includes the long-awaited hybrid weapon balance changes, assault ship bonus reworks, capital ship rebalancing, and even iteration on faction warfare.’

Time dilation, doesn’t that already kick in when you hit about 300 in local?
I’ve never noticed it in Jita…since the announcement anyway.
Time dilation…time slows down under extreme sever load…you hit a few hundred in local and it takes 15 minutes for your guns to cycle…that’s what we’ve been complaining about for years…Beuller…Beuller…anyone?
Tough room, I guess.
Lol. I’m just giving you a hard time. (:
Doh! Now who’s missing the joke?
The economics teacher is my guess.
heh, jita is its own node, so there will never b a need for time dialation there, unless we have lik 3k+ ppl in system…
Nice of Hilmar to apologize, it’d b nicer if he said what he was going to do to fix it…
