I started playing EVE a few days ago with the free trial and promptly bought a subscription.
Some one said that EVE is an amalgamation of the Games Elite and Privateer. I have played both of those and I agree completely. I loved those games and love the slow deliberate pace of EVE. Of course having to wait 4 days to upgrade a skill can be a bit fristrating but what the hay, I’m not in any hurry.

Clear Skies 3 was great, but I think something was screwed up on my download. I couldn’t navigate it through the progress bar thing and it cut off when Charlie was saying goodbye to John.
Oh, and it’s Hot Drop O’Clock.
I reactivated my account for the 5 free days and had no idea what I was doing anymore. No clue where I left off skills wise. And flying a pretty decently decked out Myrmidon. looked awesome on my newish comp though
Best way to get it is to use the torrent download.
Mail evemon setting files to yourself as an attachment so you won’t lose them no matter what.
Maybe, but I don’t want to download a Torrent client for just one thing.

This is one of those things things that make me wonder if it’s worth while risking my Visa account over. Especially after the Sony fiasco.

Well now that’s all cleared up for the moment. It looks like the North American side cut access to the servers till they got the all clear from the Eve crew.

Like others, I’ve reactivated my lapsed subscription since seeing CS3. And now looked a bit more at this thread and saw there was a chat channel… will be on more, I think.

It’s a pretty interesting read and nice tables and graphics. Came out in February so some details are obsolete or out of date like Agents. But, check it out.
