Dungeons and Dragons (d20 RPGS)

YES! YES !! YES ! (Sorry I’ve developed a bad habit of all caps to express excitment). But, Yes, I can’t say enough in terms of praising Savage Worlds.

You can say that nothing is truly perfect, I suppose, but Savage Worlds is about as near perfect to role playing system as you can get. Gives you all the stuff you need to get the action going, but doesn’t bog you down.
I’ve used in in conjuction with Deadlands: Reloaded and I love. Sigh…of course, problem is…my friends and I being in our 40s—with wives, kids, houses and jobs taking our priorities, we can’t play more than a couple times a year. But when we do, we’ve loving Savage Worlds/Deadlands.

I’ve in the last few months gotten into playing into the 3.5 OGL D&D. Its funish. I’m currently playing a bodger(read mechcanic.) The sole problem is our current cleric. Is a total rules lawyer. Somewhat…Its not quite rules lawerish, but like Cylon Sleeper said he needs to learn the lesson of Roleplay, not Rollplay. Its every few seconds “i wanna spot check.” or “i wanna search this.” Its just annoying.

But after shelling out well over a hundred bucks on pout of print books. I’m darned and determined to have fun, and everyone else in the party is. For sitting down to a game with three players in the first session who had never played. We’re doing totally well. Also…because of that. I now have a pair of goggles, steampunk world and all.

While its not stirctly d20…(I think) I’d love to give the serenity one a shot too.

I’ve been playin 3.5 over AIM chat for the last I dunno month and a halfish? Havin a great time. Even thinking about starting my own game using the Hero system. Anybody have any experience with it?
