I sacrificed myself for the ending =/ What a bummer that was. Even though I HATE Bhalen because of the Dorf Noble origin, I think I’m gonna have to go with him for my next playthroughs cause…well the dorf end when you pick Harrowmont is so depressing.

I might try Bhelen on my Assassin play through. I plan to side with Branka, the werewolves, get Blood Mage and the Reaver specializations then too.
You don’t have to sacrifice yourself nor do you have to take Morrigan up on her offer. You can sacrifice the other Grey Warden in your party. I’ve yet to sacrifice myself because my pc always ends up happily ever after with Leliana.
the one you find locked up in Howe’s place? or are you talking about poor Allister? 
Well Alistair is one of the Grey Wardens you can sacrifice depending on the decision you make at the landsmeet. You can also sacrifice Loghain.

I was expecting that Loghain was being controlled/influenced somehow. He seemed like such a stand up dude in ‘A Stolen Throne’. I expected him to do what he thought was best, but not to be such a jerkass about it. I haven’t got him party yet, I’ll be saving that for my Mage playthrough who will hate Allister, so I’ll look forward to the various conversations with him.
Yeah, Bioware likes it that way. I made a Dalish Elf Warrior last night, and I actually like the way this character look. After spending 20 minutes creating him (less than a minute on Attributes), I clicked play. I was faced with killing random humans in the forest or letting them go. I thought, “I should let them go, but hey free XP can’t be turned down.” So, I chose to kill them expecting an Autosave and a chance to redo. Nada and no XP either.
Since I took so long making the character, I wasn’t about to delete him and make a new one to take the other choice… So, he has a murderous start for his origins. ):
finished the Dwarf story this morning on my mage…so nervous now because I only have the Dalish left to do in this play through before starting the Landsmeet…I still have no idea how I want this end to play out for the Mage…does she sacrifice herself in the ultimate being good act? or does she convince Allister to do the dirty deed with Morrigan? kind of a taint on what is my ultimate goody goody play through though
but if she dies what will poor Leliana do!?!?!?!?
I actually hated Loghain in Stolen Throne so nothing about his actions in Dragon Age surprised me.
I (human mage) did the nasty with Morrigan to save my own skin. I feel kind of bad, but I had such a strong relationship with Morrigan that I guess it makes sense story-wise. And, man, I wanted to be First Enchanter! I have some rebuilding to do of my new free mage circle 
Demon-god-baby will, of course, will play some big role in the sequel. Of course.
Did anyone convince Allistair to marry what’s-her-face? That seemed like kind of a dick move.
a friend of mine I talk to on some gaming boards said he convinced him to, he didn’t say if it came out negative or not but I think it makes the Landsmeet go easier
also for the record I HATE that freaking queen
in my first play through no matter what I did she back stabbed me, from right after I rescued her until she backstabbed me, even when I agreed to support her in the Landsmeet she still backstabbed me, gd b*!@, I wish you could kill her because I would have first go round without a hesitation at all
Ah, yes, I remember now. She will only support you, as far as I’ve heard, if you get Allistair to marry her. I hated that betrayal too 
Also, speaking of betrayals, ZEVRAAAAAAAN! WHY DID YOU LEEEAAAVE MEEEE?!
I went to The Pearl, asked the chick to “surprise me” and woke up alone with both and insertion and extraction tool lying on the bed. I feel so used. 
Kinda sad I can’t tell whether you’re joking about that… I stayed well away from that option, but now I’m slightly curious…only slightly.
Totally true! Then you pick “some of both” and she brings out 2 that say female, 2 that say male and 2 that say “female” (with the quotes!). Is that PC?

the ‘surprise me’ option has some hillarious results
one of mine was I woke up with two of those goat/deer things in my room and when I clicked to interact with it it said
“the forgot the name of the animal tries not to make eye contact with you”

also guys I have to say I haven’t truly LOL’d at a game dialogue option before, but one I just had 20 minutes ago at the end, when I was convincing Allister to sleep with Morrigan I couldn’t help but burst out laughing at this one:
“Allister, your wildest dreams have come true: Sex with Morrigan!”
