I love how the Doctor hates to be saluted at. U.N.I.T. is great.
That would be fun. I would also like to see a male companion who is not Jack.
Wow, and you thought we’d get fangirly when we get to talk to The Doctor
There has been many male companions over the years.
But only Jack recently…
What about Rose’s boyfriend?
Well you see I have only seen the "reimagined"series, and not even all of that - I still haven’t seen all of Season 4, but I have seen the the beginning and the end.
Well, technically Mickey from the Christopher Eccleston series was too.
I don’t really count Mickey only because he was there more for Rose then the Doctor. I mean a honest to goodness stays with the Doctor for at least an entire series companion.
The reimagined seems to like sexual tension that the others did not have as much.
Picky picky picky!
In the meantime, I don’t have anything witty to say about these bug creature people.
Then there was the guy who had a computer jack installed into his head, but they were only around for two or three episodes each.
I have seen more regenerations of the doctor so as a rule companions did not always stay a full season and some stayed longer.
True, and while that would be fun to explore, I really just want it for a change from boy/girl traveling in the Tardis. I mean the sexual tension was more between Rose/Doctor and Martha/Doctor. I didn’t see any sexual tension between Donna/Doctor.
Fair enough - I guess I am just used to a companion being there for most of a season.
Yes, thank goodness they could be just companions, traveling friends. I think the love connection was often overdone.
Maybe he just wants people closer to his own age … well, the age of the guy who will play him after he regenerates that is
The worse it gets, the more I like it.
Having more than one companion also helped the show be more dynamic. I would love to see a lady Doctor. I wonder if the Brits are ready for it?
The worst is when there was a one episode movie that we made for U.S. TV. Very cringe worthy.
