Here is a more classic look I think. What I want to kinda recreate is the scene in Clear Skies 3 using my ships.

I have created this new Torpedo Starfighter for the Terran Forces. The laser bolts still need some work, but I think the rest looks good. That me know what you guys and gals think of this latest ship.
Oooooh, looking pretty sweet, there!
I’m really enjoying watching this slowly grow, each image better than the last.
Thanks for the encouragement. I think I am going to start working on a cinematic scene here soon. I will keep everyone posted.
Nicely done homie. Love the Tron Legacy looking weapons.
Here is the backside. It is not the most pretty, but it should be okay with the style I plan to have for my animation.
Since I want to do something similar, how did you go about designing/modelling your ships as well as the animation. Did you just use a variety of tutorials around the web?
Have to say that you’ve inspired me
My ship design was alot of trial and error. I am still refining the designs. I learned simple animations back in college for a product design class. What got me wanting to do animation again was watching Backyardagins when my son was about 2. So I searched for a program to work with that was opensource and that I didn’t have to pirate because I was used to 3D studio Max. I found Blender a couple years ago and have been learning ever since. There are tutorials all over the interwebs. Blenderartists.org is a good resource. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Sure, as soon as I design something, I’ll post it here.
