Who else is looking forward to the new season?
While I called the S4 ending way early, it was still brilliant. Dexter is tho only show that can get my blood pumping in the same way BSG did, the mark of a show that really has something special to offer.
I can’t wait either. It’s one of my favourite shows. Traditionally the first episode of each season becomes ‘available’ around this time, so keep an eye out if you have the means.

The amount of upheaval the network caused on their Facebook posts by discussing the “new direction” of season 5 after the s4 finale was almost comical. But truth be told, it all comes down to Chuck’s excellent definition of a spoiler, and within that, the “country of origin” disclaimer. Sorry, Canada and UK, if you don’t want the beans spilled, don’t “fan” the page that discusses the show in depth. (As my nine year old would quip, “Uhm, Hel-LO?”)
Love the Dexter new ep. I was afraid of where they would go with the character but they stay true to him and now I’m all ready for next week!!!
I thought this was a beautiful episode, and just what we fans needed after s4 finale. It was the perfect closure to all of season 4’s events, and leaves many great directions they can go in the rest of the season. I’m hoping that after spending this entire episode dealing with the aftermath of s4, in the next episode the show moves forward and begins to tell season 5’s story. Should be killer!
I dunno–some aspects of the ep didnt seem like Dexter. overall the ep was good…just something about it felt off.
Still Dexter is in more trouble than he has ever been…so it should be intersting to see how he gets out of it. Wonder if they will take some aspects of the books and apply them here…

judging from the first one, this is going to be either really good or even better. I feel Dexter is hiding something but I have no idea what it could be.

Was good but it really was a setup ep. The season seem full of promises but nothing concrete yet. Dexter was a bit blend in that, his sister was better realize witch surprises me.
I’ve now rewatched the Season 4 Finale to get ready for Season 5.
The last 10 minutes are still very emotional and gave me goosebumbs. Have figured out that Arthur killed her BEFORE he took his car back from repair. But how did he find the address of Dexter/Rita’s house? The yellow pages only sent him to Dexters shack where Debbie lived. Could be that he found the address there somewhere.
Love to have Dexter back with the season premiere. He really should have taken off the hat!

The first episode was a little dull except the end, but I liked that maybe he was feeling something real and he couldn’t express it.
