Donner narrating:
"I don’t know where you find courage. There isn’t a map.
It kind of follows the road of emotion.
Sometimes stopping your conviction and anger.
Other times parking beside fear.
Courage plays no favorites, takes no sides.
It can be as impressive as a walk on Venus,
or as simple as a kiss.
And sometimes in our darkest hours,
courage is all we have.
Donner bends over unconscious Zoe and gently kisses her.
Zoe opens her eyes and smiles.

Zoe miraculously recovers, but not so miraculously, because Zoe’s DNA (like the rest of the Antares crew & Eve) has been altered by Beta.
She realizes there was no baby. She and Donner talk about what they are to each other.

Again Jen cannot see the either Beta or Gamma objects. She can’t figure why she was “chosen” for the mission.

Ted can no longer trust Eve. He feels he really doesn’t know her.
Jen can’t feel close to Rollie - he’s too far away. So she turns to Ted.

She loses her faith for awhile, then regains it again, in the form of an altered, more mature stance in the universe.
