Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

Yeah, I was trying to think of whether I could classify this as something “done lately”, and decided that the compliment was recent so it stood. Reunion is possible, I’ll keep you updated

My default position is to be extremely naughty so thought I would get you used to my style while you were all busy!

Then it’s a good thing that you don’t live anywhere near me Armando! How did that shower work out for you?

I know!!! There’s no way it would get here by Christmas, is there… :frowning:

Congrats!!

Wouldn’t YOU like to know?

Sounds like a plan. December gets a little tough in the middle there (sadly, I’m not going anywhere for Christmas, but I do have to go to Indiana, of all places, for a recording session after school’s done) but we should find a free night to have a beer or maybe even dinner with the wives/girlfriends (though don’t tell my wives about my girlfriends, whatever else you do).

Here’s another bit of cool craaaaap that’s happening to me: Three of my pieces (Chamber Symphony, “Illusory Airs” for chamber orchestra; “St. Luke’s Summer” for clarinet and string quartet; and “Papillons Hallucigeniques” for solo piano) will be featured on the American Music Center’s Counterstream Radio (www.counterstreamradio.org) on December 3, 15 and 17, 2008. These are re-broadcasts of shows aired earlier this year on Syracuse public radio’s new music show “Fresh Ink” but are now available online for the first time through this new (I believe it began broadcasting last January) streaming radio station by the American Music Center, which features new and cutting edge classical music by American composers. Anyway, feel free to check them out. I know this is basically spam, but I figured some of you, at least, have expressed interest in what I do and this will be an easy way to get a taste for it. Thanks for indulging me.

Armando, that’s awesome!

Check it out. You might not want any CD’s from me after you hear those broadcasts.

It’s a good week to be Armando. Congrats again!

I’m not sure if I should spend any more money on Firefly related toys, but I soo wanna get this:

(From Here)

$13.49??? are you kidding??? I am so getting one of those!

In theory, $13.49 sounds excellent. In practice, I was in the store only for 15 minutes, and I already have like 12 things in my shopping cart, for a total of almost $200. I’m such a compulsive shopper. I must be stopped.

Reminds me to dig out my Buffy lunch box. And prepare to get mocked in the staff lunch room. Again

So say we all

Well, thank you. I’m still waiting for the week in mid-December when I will find out whether or not I got a grant from the Fromm Music Foundation to pay for the cello concerto I have to write (not to mention things like health insurance. Gods I hope I get that money!) and a residency from the American Symphony Orchestra League (which is not their name anymore, but sounds better than the League of American Orchestras. Either way, I have this picture of conductors sitting around a round table in an orbitting space station waiting for some supervillain to commit a crime). THAT would be a REALLY good week.

He’s totally cool and he craps!

Meet WeasleyAZ- he’s four months old and we think he’s a shepherd/golden retriever mix. He’s named for Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter. Those are big shoes to fill, but he ate through the vacuum cleaner cord yesterday, so he’s off to a great start.

Oui - he looks like trouble!!! Better stock up on chew toys and rug shampoo.

What an adorable puppy! He def. looks like trouble.

My hubby just surprised me with the double sided Map of the Verse poster. The :squee: was heard around the world. Best. Husband. Ever.

I have one thing to say CRATE TRAINING. Weasley will be a big dog before he gets over his pup habits and smart too. You must be strong and not let those eyes get the best of you. Cute is strong.

Buddy loves to chew on plastic as in glasses, remote controls, and VCR tapes when he misses us. He now enjoys a nap when we are gone in his bedroom (crate). See what I say about eyes. Cute is a strong force.

Awww, geeze! Ain’t he adorable.

What were we talking about? I read that post, and I blacked out. When I came to, the room was wrecked.

Unsolicited testimony: Armando’s music is good. Congrats!
