I’d rather have something else blown.
Gmail finally gave in and added smiley faces to their rich text interface.
I talked about it last fall, and finally did it recently. I built two solar thermal panels on the south side of my house from scratch, and they’re throwing out free heat whenever the sun hits them now…Take that Saudi Arabia !!!
Our government subsidy program recently ended so the sales have gone down significantly. I would love to do that when I have my own place.
Impulse-by me one of those, ok?
Something really cool that happened to me this month… I got a contributor callout in the November issue of Wired. You’ll notice bits from me in the test section at least every few months, but this month they were cool enough to call me out.
If you have the issue, my contributor bit (complete with a small picture) is on page 16. My two-page piece on TVs is on page 138, I think.
Anyway, I’m pretty proud of it. I think I’m going to frame a copy for my mother (who, incidentally, was a middle/high-school English teacher for 30+ years and instilled in me a love of writing that’s never faltered).
Congrats to our Fearless Leader… There is nothing like a little bit of recognition to make you feel great…very happy for you Chuck !! Props !!
Chuck, that’s great! Being a ludite, I don’t read Wired, but I’m going to go pick up this month’s issue to support you. So say we all.
Congrats Chuck! You done good. (I are a college graduate…)
Keara tuned me into some cool bags in the Christmas gift exchange thread. So I bought one. :o
Oh, WHICH ONE!!!
Chuck, that’s fabulous!! Congrats!
Awesome chuck, congrats. I’m looking at in online and can’t find you. Which TV is it?
BELLA Style Handbag Tote In Amy Butler olive Laceworks And Full Moon Dots Fabrics With 5 Interior Pockets Removable Waterproof Bottom Hard Base.
You’re bad, Keara. Just bad.
That is awesome, Chuck. Congrats. Have it laminated.
I’ve always thought the GWC crew was destined for greatness.
We’ll all be glad to say we knew them when…
Congratz Chuck! Good on yuh, mate.
This one? That is so cute!
I basically designed what I wanted. I picked the wider Katie handbag style, added a trim on an angle on the front that she had used on one of the huge Katie carry-alls and then picked the three fabrics I wanted, designed where I wanted everything placed, inside and out. I’m high-maintenance that way.
It was so funny because she hadn’t sewn a tag inside my original bag and when I decided I wanted a new one I couldn’t remember from whom I purchased it. I had gotten it from her on eBay originally. So, I was searching eBay and was coming up with nothing, stumbled upon etsy.com, then stumbled upon Clutterbags and it clicked that she was the one I got the original bag from. I messaged her and she wrote back that yes, she remembered me by name–gee, you think I’m high-maintenance? She actually remembered me from 5 years ago! LOL!
It didn’t cost me any more to design it, though. The bag was only $49. Plus, I ordered it in October so I got free shipping. (Yay!) It should be here right before my birthday–woot!
Oh, hell…I just noticed she put this one in the retired bags…I love it! And it’s on sale now. Droooooool.
Yep - that’s the one!
