Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

Oh! Oh! But I can punch the people in the face!

I’m not a serious gamer, I’m definitely a lifestyle person, so the Wii is perfect for me. My husband likes it because it makes me happy. But he wants a 360 (and there are plans in the works on that front…).

To each their own (gaming system). :stuck_out_tongue:

It is good to let the small things help you be happy.

My husband was in a car accident. The good crap is he only got a scrape from the airbag.

I made a promise to myself that any time I post on B & M thread that I must post in the cool crap thread so pardon the double post.

The first quarter of school is over. I have a workday (no students) Friday. I voted and it took less than 20 minutes. I know not so cool but hay I had time tonight to get on GWC.

Somethine I just rediscovered: MTV

Remember MTV? When we were kids, it made me feel cool and rebellious to watch MTV. Because they had music. Good music. Nowadays, MTV is a place for The Hills and Paris Hilton’s New BFF. That’s right, MTV is now a channel that celebrates the worst humanity has to offer.

Well, MTV has just become cool again. Because they have just made available online EVERY MUSIC VIDEO THEY HAVE IN THEIR ARCHIVE. I was just there browsing… all the old songs I remember from when I was in junior high, they are all there. This is awesome. Go check it out. Run, don’t walk. http://www.mtvmusic.com

got excited for a moment, until the dreaded this content is not available outside the US

We found a car that is a 2003 with 24,000 mile on it. It was kept in a garage and only driven by two elderly sisters. I know it sounds like a line but the sales person swears it is true. She was so sure we would think she was not truthful that she did not tell us until we saw how great the car was. The insurance agreed to give us $1000 more dollars than before. So my hubby will soon have a car that is almost like new but half the price. We will have to take a short term family loan but it will be manageable.

My poor car needs the rest.

Just picked up Serenity on DVD for ten bucks. Woot!

I am going to be in the audience for Late Night with Conan O’Brien tomorrow! (Ok, haven’t done it yet but I’m still posting it here)

For the first time in my life I have hired a cleaner. I have a terrible dust allergy and vacuuming is hell. I am so happy to be sitting here talking to you guys instead of sneezing. Best money I’ve ever spent

Me too! Guess what I just found at my video shop’s “used dvds for sale” bin for $5.99.

The whole bin is 6 bucks?!

Buy it

So what goodies did you find in the box?

I overpaid! That is awesome though.

Yeah, I wish

It was actually not just what you see in the picture, but an entire den full of those boxes. Serenity was the only one I liked, but fans of crappy action thrillers (think “National Treasure”) or crappy romantic comedies (think “Fools Rush In”) would have been in heaven.

Well, you got a NEW one! It was easily worth it. I’d have paid a few more dollars for new.

True. But only because I didn’t have time to scour bargain bins. I also had my eye on the deluxe edition but figured I’d probably watch the extras disc once and then never see it again, as is usually the case with those things in my collection, so I went for the original release. Well worth it. My wife and I have both been enjoying that story immensely.

i went out on halloween. and 3 days ago… this is gona blow your mind… i … went… to… BURGER KING:D

Mind status: not blown

Sweet… party at Burger King! w00t!!!

fun killer. :frowning:

That’s precisely what came to my mind when I read that.

“Carl Weathers: Do you know that here at Burger King you can refill any beverage, and it’s free?”

“Tobias: It’s a WONDERFUL restaurant!”

“Narrator: It suuuuure is!”

I love that show!
