Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

A little, yeah. Say you at least got her number, Stroogie!

Alas, I’m too big a nerd–I didn’t even think about it. I was far too excited about getting the book. But I’m already dating someone, so it’s all good.

Ah well, there you go then. :o

Just got home from buying my brother his first drink as a 21-year-old. An Appletini.

Happy Birthday brother.

didn’t really acquire or do anything with it but went to the local chevy dealer today (since they’re closed)

and…

they had 3 camaros, ONE OF WHICH IS THE BUMBLE BEE one from Transformers 1 and 2!!!

drool

as soon as I pay off my truck in a few years I’m for sure going to try and get a used 09 Camaro, color doesn’t matter because those things just look awesome

and this is coming from a Ford guy

You limited yourself to 1? You took it too easy on him!

Because the snow surrounding my house is now optimum snowman consistency, and because I’m incredibly puerile:

It’s a snowgirl (if you can’t already tell). Talk about sn-owering the tone…

Unfortunately, I think one was enough (surprising, considering we’re of German-Serbian-Irish blood). He’ll get the hang of it, I’m sure. He’s a tough kid.

In other news, I took an improv class yesterday with none other than Bill Chott, a St. Louis native who many of you may know as this guy:

I told him I’d bring my copy of Galaxy Quest for him to sign next time. He’s a genuinely happy, generous, fun guy who wants to change the world by teaching improv. This was a free class, 'cause I can’t afford the regular classes, but I signed up for an internship, so we’ll see where that goes.

My electric bill is extremely high this month. No, I am not in the wrong thread. I bought an air conditioner this summer that is energy green so the electric compony paid half the bill.

Snow lady cool by definition.

Ahhhhh

It is a good day.

My flu is gone, I had a chip barm for my dinner, the JLI is returning (albeit with Judd Winnick), we’re going out for Chops on Saturday, I got accepted as a weekend carer at the childrens home, and there’s a new Chuck to watch (through my England to US telescope).

Gooood times.

Do I want to know?

It’s a big pile of chips (PROPER BRITISH CHIPS! NONE OF THIS FRENCH FRY NONSENSE) in a nice floury barmcake (Bready muffin goodness) which has loads of butter on it, then combine the two, put salt and LOTS of vinegar on it, wait until it combines properly and ENJOY!

Nom nom nom!

I love British-style chips and ate them several times during my trip to London but I could never get used to the idea of putting vinegar on them instead of ketchup, despite the odd looks I got when asking for ketchup.

Did he go easy on the 'tini?

I’m a little late to the party. Been busy. Gonna be happening a lot from now till April, alas.

I came back from Ireland many years ago with a fondness for vinegar on my chips. I have noticed that I don’t get as many odd looks when I ask for it these days, so I think it might be catching on.

Alas, I still can’t get Club Shandy from a vending machine, or get my fish in a newspaper, or smoke in a movie theatre.

I don’t really miss the Lunch Special, though (slice of pizza and a baked potato–it was a real-life Irish joke.)

You can put ketchup on chips too, but vinegar is a must! Ahhhh, Britain, the place where spoiled wine is loved the most

I’ve a case of Club Shandy in the garage, but you can’t smoke inside in Ireland, or England any more :frowning:

Good, one day, I promise I’ll sue someone for attempted murder if they smoke beside me and it’s not possible for me to move upwind…
