Just attended a Wordpress-website-building workshop at a local arts center. Found out I knew more than I thot. Gonna register me a domain name or two, and get building. Huzzah!
Picked up the Firefly DVD box set from Best Buy for only $13.
I get to hang out with my natal family all week (and spouse too), and I get a pomegranate martini to boot not bad
It’s a tiny thing, but Audra got me an early Christmas present this week: a new Apple Magic Mouse. My old desktop mouse was worn out and dropped clicks at random times – a real PITA. I was drooling over the new mouse, and Audra ordered one for me.
As per usual, it came in packaging more appropriate for jewelry than an input device, which (also as per usual) made it fun to open. It’s an unusually-shaped mouse – which means it’s probably not for everyone – but I really like the feel of it. It’s low and heavy, and amazingly the whole touch-to-scroll and swipe-for-forward/back works great for me. It’s pretty natural.
Anyway, it made me happy this week.
I’ve got one on my Christmas list. I went by the Apple Temple… err Store to try it out a couple of weeks ago. It’ll probably take just a little getting used to, but I’m looking forward to it
Well, this past weekend would apply to both this thread and the “Life is the Suck” thread. As I think I mentioned, I closed on a townhome a few weeks back and my mother came down from Iowa to help me get stuff settled. Very exhausting week, especially Sunday, but things are starting to look pretty good.
Was hoping to embed a slideshow, but I guess a link will have to work.

I’m jealous - you have a DISHWASHER!!!
Got an nVidia GT 260 video card for my desktop, only cost me $110, and I can run EVE and other awesometastic games at full resolution and detail. WIN!
Yay for geek toys. I’m sure Dragon Age: Origins will look nice too. (:
Congratulations! Looks nice. I like the little office, I have one too Though I need to get some spiffy posterage up :*
I made it safely to my MIL’s last night and when I woke up this AM, the world was white. I’ve baked an apple pie, cooked lunch for the hubs (MIL is taking Grandma to dr), and am now watching TV while the yams bake and the hubs is out hunting something. Life is good!
The Mrs. just surprised me with an early Christmas present: a Motoral Droid. Woot!
I’m going to be disciplined, though, and not play with it until I’ve finished my work for the day (it’s been several weeks since I’ve had composition time, and this piece must be revised and finished).
Whoo-hoo!!! Congrats on the new phone. Now put it down and get busy!!!
I did. And I’ve just put it down again to let it charge (after playing with it once I finished getting busy).
Could a Twitter account finally be in my future?
We just sold my wife’s car and replaced it with a 2003 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) to save gas mileage and generate a little cash. Seems like a nice little econobox, looking forward to doing lots of projects to customize it.
I’m thinking… built in net gun.
I’m watching a new BBC show called Paradox. So far it’s sorta like Flashforward.
It’s pretty ok, but it’s set in Manchester, my city. It’s quite disturbing to see things I know in a different context.
The Imperial War Museum is NOT a superscience lab!
It’s nice to have a show in Manchester set in the present day though!
A couple of weeks ago I caved and got myself a Motorola CLIQ and annoyed Solarpilot with it while I visited. x3 It’s purty and nice and I think I need to charge it plugs it in
What I particularly love about it is that I’m literally never out of touch. It makes communication an absolute breeze and I can look something up anytime I want. I’ve installed widgets on it to make my life easier…
I’m beginning to think my entire life is about to be put on this phone. And oddly enough, I have no problem with that.
If only it had a flash like my Motorola ZINE did…(that phone isn’t nearly as nice but it takes BEAUTIFUL pictures. I may have to cart it around with my CLIQ to use as a digicam…)
20 family members in a house and everyone got along wonderfully.
Went on a hike through my in-laws’ ranch in the Texas Hill Country yesterday and came home with a fossil snail shell as big as my two fists stuck together (present for my Little Sister) and a mostly clean coyote skull!
…well, I think it’s cool
I’m going out with my mum and sisters tomorrow to buy a wedding dress.
Is red too tacky?
