Purchased LEGO Batman today. What a fun game! Not a surprise, all them LEGO games are entertaining.
Took a break to frak B5. I’ve been playing Wii for about six hours. Wow!! Wish the work day was as quick.

I’ve enjoyed the lego games, but I found a bug in the Lego Indiana Jones game and got stuck. Fun games though.
Awesome fun day out with friends. I even (and this may be a bit contradictory to the stated purpose of this thread) engaged in fiscal responsibility (OK, well, we’re living on a graduate student stipend, here) and didn’t but the decanter that I was eyeing at Crate&Barrel. Good thing we never made it to Pottery Barn, or all might have been lost!
You should be proud.
Bug? Really? Games never have bugs. rolls eyes with hint of sarcasm
What chapter? I’ve completed the game and didn’t run across it.
Bugs? I thought they were added features.
Of course you’re gonna have bugs! Don’t you remember Temple of Doom?
Had a party last night got a bit tipsay as they say. No hangover though which is nice. Um…Didn’t drunk dial or drunk tweet or nothing! Woooo
I started reading Charles Bukowski’s “Women” and I’m having a really good time with it. The author was recommended to me by a student a couple of weeks ago. You know, most of the time as a teacher I really deeply worry about the next generation(s), but once in a while you meet a young person (or woman, in this case) that really makes you feel like “hey, everything’s all right with the world, after all”
I bump into my old students now and then. In the last few weeks I saw two of them at their jobs. Since I work with students with handicaps and with the job market as it is, I am just thrilled.
That’s so nice to hear!
I’m starting to wonder if I’ll be able to support myself with just commissions during 2010-11. I’ve just heard from the guy commisisoning a trombone concerto from me that he’s convinced someone in the states (the lead commissioner lives in Denmark) to com on board. Between this and a couple other projects I’ve got cooking I might be able to make more as a composer in the next two years than as a professor. Woot!
music to my ears, sir!!
Yeah we all know a few of those;)
Fun news!
The lead singer of my band, which hasn’t actually really existed for 2 years, has arranged for us to play a show in 2 weeks.
I should be furious, but I’m very excited and happy about it, we’re gonna rehearse and everything, which is good, because we never did that before!
That said, I might need a new guitar, i’m quite a bit larger on top now than I was, and that strap REALLY squeezes the twins!
Oh wow, I better see if saline messes with the theramin too! :S
It seems that the musicians are making it big.
It’s a pub gig, hardly big, but I’m looking forward to it!
On the other side the guitar strap Squeezes the twins
If your looking forward to it and you have not played in some time it is big. Well it is making you happy.
Yeah, mine too.
Not sure if big is the right word for me either, but bigger than I used to be. I’m certainly starting to feel recognized, even if I’m still broke. It’s a start.
I gotta say, sounds like a pretty nice problem to me too. heh-heh
