Cool craaaaaap you've acquired/done lately

That’s good news, I know the job works out for you

Good luck on all the moving up to better jobs.

finally got my wife to watch firefly. considering the whedon junkie that she is really shouldnt have been that hard. but after bribeing her with a new tatoo she watched it and loved it … go figure

You had to bribe wife to watch Firefly?

I can not go figure. Now you have to give us the tattoo choice she makes.

I allready picked my tatoo Someone is getting me full back angel wings

                                                                          -ELSE

Hmm…It’s possible. Should I take away her TV privileges as punishment?
Or, force her to watch Carl Sagan’s Cosmos with me?

Best of luck!

Got my fingers crossed for both of you!

(Taking a cue from your sig, I’ll address both personalities! LOL!)

Someone- See! Bribery works! (There are a ton of Whedon junkies here- we call ourselves Whedon Whores. Check out the Buffy Frak on Whedonsday, I mean Wednesday, nights!)

Else- Welcome, new Browncoat!

Nice choice!

I just spent FAR too much on a signed Ghostbusters poster for front room, but I’m SO happy I bought it!

WOO!

I think you really wanted to watch the show, but also wanted a tattoo. OK I will not tell anyone.

If it makes you happy and you have the money why not.

Well, it has to be just right in case the Queen turns up for a visit. And, as it’s signed, of course she will notice and go over for a look.

Or the Zuul. You know how she gets when she’s angry.

Got my fingers crossed for both of you!

Thank you. Honestly, though, I’d be surprised if I get this administrative job. I will be happy if I make it to the interview stage. I think I need a couple more years of experience before I’m taken seriously for these types of positions, but I’m getting there (was a serious contender for a similar job earlier this year). We’ll see. The Mrs. I’m sure will get the job with the design company. She’s very excited about it and they seemed really excited about her. Unless the next candidate or two they have to met this week turn out to have prior experience in this exact line of work, I’m hoping she’ll get it (it would be, from what she’s shared, a very cool place to work).

I will, of course, keep you all informed.

(Stroogie, make sure you do the same!)

Armando i wish you guys luck. else just picked up a secratary job after 3 years of looking and working at…wal-mart. so i understand and i hope the job is yours. your on GWC so you have to be cool people.

Well, don’t let my being on GWC fool you. I’m a horrible, horrible person. Mwahahahaha!

Seriously, thanks for the good wishes. One way or another the Mrs. has a job within a few weeks (though hopefully before the money I’d saved for the summer runs out next month ). What kind of job I will have still remains to be seen. Technically I’m still teaching this fall. Apparently, though, that’s now up in the air…AGAIN. (And I’d love nothing more than to tell that employer to sit on a tack because I found a new, better job.)

By the way: welcome to GWC. You and Someone Else seem to be fitting in just fine, so I think you’ll be all right. Now, if only I could tell you guys apart…

My last few days and I shit you not

Day one

begining
Almost killing a by farm equipment as a farmer who thought it would be fun to take a run on the highway but not so much fun in actually using his signal lights when turning… after a time we saw forest fires burning down the sides of mountains

middle
of day one found paradise on earth, jade coloured water incredible mountain vista, literally a place to rejuvenate your very soul in a moment

end

end of day one traditional english tea in the Fairmont chateau in lake louise although i’m not English, after that I kind of wish I was scones sparkling white wine cucumber sandwiches other delectable things. Seriously the English were very right on so many things this would be the general view from the window while we ate gourmet food minus the canoe

Day two

travel to the radium hot spring although sounding dangerous, not in reality radium, enjoyed a lake so calm and pure you could see the fish as they swam in it as if they were swimming in air, saw canyons that cooled the air ten degrees as you approached saw mountains so vast you could barley believe they were real

Day three

traveled down a road so incredible, its almost inconsievable that they were built water fell for thousand of meters from ancient glaciers, and finally to a favorite of our travels Edith Cavell walked to the glacial pools edge, and Like i said before I shit you not I saw an avalanche, followed by a rock slide.

thats right boys and girls I just saw an avalanche on July 26 got some great shots of it too.

truly and unforgettable few days

congrats Cackleberry

I think we, as a forum, just achieved the singularity! I’m getting echoes of Sharon and Helo here. LOL

Congratulations on the new love. Don’t be such a stranger now.

That is truly cool crap.

Wow who knew we had a match making service here at GWC.
