Confession Time

Frakkintalos moves in mysterious ways.

ROFFLE. That is mysterious. ::shifty glance::

Yay, hectic holiday times are coming to an end and that means actual time for me to sit and watch more BSG (on my new Roku device via Netflix!)

Just watched the two part season openers Scattered and Valley of Darkness.

Seemed to me, and revealed later on, in the beginning of the ep, Col Tigh was soooo uncomfortable being in command. He even states that this is still the Old Man’s ship which wouldn’t sit well with me if I were an underling of his. In a crisis situation I would want a Commander who was able to jump in and take control. I mean, jeez, he doesn’t even discipline Gaeta for miscalculating the jump coordinates (which then forced them to return to the jump point to recalculate and the Cylon Raiding Party boarded them resulting in the deaths of who knows how many people on Galactica) I would hold Gaeta responsible for the deaths of all those men and women.
But maybe i’m an ass.

I did like the flashbacks to the past when Bill Adama and Saul Tigh were being reinstated into the military and I can’t wait to find out why they were booted out in the first place. Maybe this is the reason Tigh started with the booze?

I also dug how the Caprica-Boomer and the Galactica-Boomer were both outed as Cylons pretty close to the same time. Also interesting how Starbuck still seems to think that Human looking Cylons are clones or something and that Sharon his human back on BSG.

And, even though it was a necessity, Cmdr. Adama was totally validated in his seemingly irrational fear of networking the computer systems on the Galactica.

Col Tigh seems to return to “hardass mode” after the crisis is over (maybe because the Doctor is aboard now and he can be reasonably sure that Adama will pull through and take back control) he sends Laura back to the brig.

Here’s my thoughts on surviving a Cylon Occupied City. Treat it very much like a Zombie Occupied City. Don’t turn on the radio! Don’t fire weapons unless necessary! Don’t travel with a vehicle! Basically all the things that Starbuck and Helo are doing now. ::sigh:: Silly kids.

Don’t remember if this was stated in the episode or just in one of the novels, but it was probably just cutbacks after the war.

A different BGS confession;

I hate Bill Adama and Laura Roslin; i tried i really tried. I mean i know i was supposed to like them… but no. Laura kept children in slavery and Adama put Cally up against wall to shoot her; should they fight against it. and I was just done. i’m sorry but they just lost me. Part of me wanted to cheer for them; but i’m just not wired that way.

so there its is. my BSG confession.

No, that’s fine. There are no purely good people on the show.

i know; i mean not a single character made it out completely clean… i’m just saying take out dirty hands and the series changes in big way for me.

but i guess thats just if’s and maybe’s

Very true. And yet, those two rascals seem to be making it alright…

The Starbuck-Helo friendship is one of my favorite relationships in BSG. For whatever reason, he’s just the one guy she doesn’t want to frak (other than the Old Man) and the way they take care of each other is very sibling-like.

Up until late Season 3, I held fast to my love of Laura and Bill, together or separate. I thought she was doing a great job keeping the remnants of society together, given the awful circumstances. I admired his leadership. All the wheels came off, though, right around when they find out who the four of the Final Five are. Dirty Hands really did leave an awful taste in my mouth. In the end, neither of them deserved their command. Bringing their people to the end of the road ate up and burned off every single thing they had to give–the good and the bad, the strong and the sick. Up until the very last 3 hours, I didn’t believe that they could redeem themselves. All told, I think they did redeem themselves as much as is possible, given that you can’t actually take back the wrongs you have done, just pay the accounts.

I should have responded to those posts in the opposite order. Now I’m feeling sad. Maybe instead of finishing up my holiday assignments I will watch some Firefly to perk up…

Note to all: Watch the Spoliers in this thread, plz!!!

Or rather the spoilery stuff about stuff I haven’t watched yet KTHX

So, Gaius said the funniest Gaius line in “Fragged”

“He’s Crazy.”

i loled at that. Though he was right about Lt. Crashdown, but still coming from Baltar, funny.

And the question is when Six said “someone will turn against the others”, was she referring to Crashdown or Gaius? I assume Crashdown, but the argument could be made the other way.

And oh man, Tigh was so right when he said “I’ve really frakked things up for you this time” to Cmdr Adama.

I "What the {frak}"ed out loud when he declared Martial Law and dissolved the Quorum of 12. That crafty Ellen, that’s exactly what she wanted so that unrest can reach a fever pitch and Zarek can make his move.
At least that’s my theory.

word

Baltar

That seemed cryptic ::eek::

I am a recent arivel here. I listen to all of the GWC podcast I could find on i Tunes. I must say it is magical, like sitting at a table with old friends talking about things that intrest you. Hard to do when you are home bound.

I also have never seen an episode of the new Battlestar shows. I never watched Lost, Angel, and I have no idea what a sparkly vampire is. I am a lowly Texas werewolf at heart I guess. I however will not miss a Dr. Who (Tom Baker inspired me to get my Phd so I too could be called The Doctor), I miss Farscape, Lexx, and Star Trek of any sort.

Hey can you make me a werewolf that’d be pretty rad

I am a south Texas werewolf. We have a love for Bar B Que, SRV, ZZTop, and beautiful girls.
If you are stilled interested consider yourself bit. And remember The Star Raven is watching.

Welcome to GWC, Dr The Star Raven!

Thank you Wesley. Thanks everyone.

Dudes–meetup plan! Werewolf turning party. Could get naughty…

Well no hooves so nothing illegal
