It should work for me. And remember, it’s just a suggested date. If there is another weekend in Feb. that works better for you please say so, it might be a date that works out for the majority of us too!
Checked my concert tickets and they’re for Friday the 15th. So, Saturday the 16th should be no problem for me.
Looks like I’m not going to make it to the meetup now. Broke a tooth today and got in to see the dentist this afternoon…wouldn’t you know I have to get a crown. Prep work is on the 14th and I have to plop down half of the cost on that day. There goes my budget for Feb. If I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have none at all. I’m totally bummed out about this. We’ll have to plan another later in the year.

I’m sorry to hear that you won’t be coming Airlock, especailly since you started this. As a father myself, I see your dad’s point.
Is there anyway that we could make this more palatable for him? Move the location closer to you (where in Indiana are you?) or maybe one of us can come down at meet with you and him first? I’m close to Wisconsin (Graylake, IL), but if no one’s closer and if it would help, I could do it.

Sorry to hear you can’t go too AirlockB. I’m not a parent but I can understand his concerns. I hope he changes his mind since he’d likely be there with you to keep you out of harms way…not that anyone on here would try to harm you.

Maybe we can have a meetup on xbox live. We can all play halo 3 or something and we can just talk for a couple hours or so. Tell me what you think.

Another option to bowling would be Whirly Ball, would have to check on prices (for those who are unfamiliar, it is basically a sports bar with a Bumper car Court, you have two teams who are trying to get a ball through a small hole in a basketball backboard using a ball a curving handle to fling it, similar to items similar to Jai-Ali or TRON)
I believe it is located on Fullerton Avenue on the North Side. Just a thought.
rushfanrich - 2/16, 7pm, Lucky Strike has been what we’ve been working toward so far. I don’t mind the change of venue, but I want to make sure that Whirly Ball is easily accessed for people coming out of town. I’ve not been there; what do you think?
AirlockBaltar - sounds like the group is ready to make this work for you and your dad. If we have to move this out a week or two, I think most could accomodate. Also, if your dad would be driving you in, make sure he knows he’s invited to stay with us. His first beer (or bev of choice) is on me.
