Oh, I think the Beckett and the boys staged her death. I didn’t see Esposito and Ryan while Beckett was giving the eulogy.
Granted, Beckett’s (the character, not the actress) acting was pretty good and Castle didn’t seem to be in on it…

Makes me wonder if Becket will return the favor for Montgomery’s daughter(s) if they join the force, like the way he did for Beckett.
