you crew beats mine at being disfuntional… though I’d love Ally Sheedy to be my doctor…
Helm - Lorena Clark. She is a crack shuttle pilot and helmsman. She is played by Dichan Lachman. She is a “honey trap” operative and notoriously efficiant gambler and fun loveing charater ( a cross between Tom Paris, jadzia, and Jenna Jameison!) She was never a Starfleet officer… technicaly she is a civilian. She is in it for patriotism and the adventure!
Engineer - Lt. Brandon Creed played by Brian Austin Green. He is a hardcore field engineer. He is as good at blowing things up as he is fixing and building them.
Tactical - ( security and personal combat specialist) Lt Anthony Corell. Played by Alec Newman ( Mallik from the Augments trilogy, Paul Atredis from the sc-fi Dune movies)
Science ( Science and counter-bio warfare specialst) Lt. Aniel Meghta is a briliant science officer and opperative. Even thou the mission of the Flemming isn’t exploration, the need of a good science officer isnt overlooked. He is played by Sendhil Ramamurthy.
I have to say as what a probable cast would be this is great. Just about everyone you mentioned I could picture doing this. Most of theses have been for fun but this is soo much better.
I agree. Well done, roosterpfunk69!! I’ll have to go back to mine and put in a dossier for each crew member and a premise for the series.
Ugh, let’s keep Mohinder off of television if at all possible.
I would make sure he acted like Mohinder season 1 or his character on grey’s anatomy… not “super mohinder”!
Even when I’m not being offensive, I shut a thread down? damn… I’m trying to be good! lol!
Huh? Wha? You? Shut down? When did that happen?
He means people just stopped posting. “Was it something I said?”
It’s a question that requires a bit more thought than most, is what I suspect the real problem is.
Captain: Forest Whittaker
First Officer: Jeff Bridges
Medical (Doctor): Harvey Keitel
Helmsman/Navigator (Ops): Sean Penn
Security (Tactical): Daniel Craig
Science: Cate Blanchett
Engineer: Ian Holm
Communications / Counsoler (Scifi Babe/Hunk): Angelina Jollie
Yeah, mine is gonna be a kind of dark moody starship, with a command crew that’s just barely holding it together.
Kinda reminds me of the crew of the Equinox.
I wish they had Angelina Jollie on the Equinox…
Here’s a sample:
First Officer (Jeff Bridges): The Captain is in his ready room—crying and screaming at the emptiness in his life. So he’s asked me to temporarily take command. Ops, what’s our present location, and estimated time to StarBase 587?
Ops (Sean Penn): Where are we? Is that what you’re fraking asking me?!! Where is anybody? My soul is dying right here, so what does it matter where we are?
Security Chief (Daniel Craig) bursts onto the bridge "Where the frak is that muthafraking Captain!! He’s gotten another three of my red shirts killed, so I am gonna END HIM!!!
Chief Medical Officer (Harvey Keitel): He’s in his ready room, numbnuts. He needs a moment. And let me tell you this, you scottish punk, if you step one fraking step toward the captians door, I’m gonna take this medical scanner and I’m gonna fraking stick it somewhere that you’re gonna find medically painfull.
…
So, going into more detail… and as I did this I realized I imagined all of them playing human characters. That’s a problem, as I don’t see Starfleet having an entirely human crew… so I may revisit this again when I think about it a bit more.
Premise: a new class of ship is sent out to the unknown… boldly going, etc etc. We join them at year three of their mission, and they are not due to return to any starbase for another four years.
Captain: Ines Erauso, played by María Félix. She has come up through the ranks as a science officer, loves world literature and is well versed in it, this ship is her third command. She resists being seen as motherly to the crew.
First Officer: Gabriel Iparraguirre, played by Federico Luppi. A kind of elder statesman, resents Ines’s captaincy and works to undermine her. He also feels the need to micromanage as many people as possible. However, he does these things out of a misguided desire to help people.
Medical (Doctor): Eloise Harris, played by Judi Dench (because I’ve decided to make Helen Mirren the main villain :)). She is wrapped up in her medical research and openly resents Iparraguirre’s meddling with her lab. She is an excellent doctor and treats her patients well, but her bedside manner leaves much to be desired.
Helmsman/Navigator (Ops): Lucas Santander, played by Javier Bardem (or Don Cheadle… can’t decide). No longer as young as he once was, Lucas has a hard time acting his age, which naturally causes some drama.
Security (Tactical): Cesar Barrios, played by Ricardo Montalban. Think Khan-gone-good.
Science: Marian Connelly, played by (a young) Angela Lansbury. Very formal, very focused.
Engineer: Janice Houston, played by Halle Berry. Brilliant, but shy
Communications / Counselor (Scifi Babe/Hunk): Isaac Babangida, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor. He is growing tired of his job and wants to switch careers, but his role can’t be filled by anyone else on the ship.
Captain:Amanda Tapping
First Officer:Ben Browder
Medical (Doctor):DeForest Kelley
Helmsman/Navigator (Ops):Zoey Saldana
Security (Tactical):Claudia Black
Science:David Hewlett
Engineer:Brent Spiner
Communications:Dwight Schultz
Admiral:Leonard Nimoy
Counselor:Tricia Helfer
Villains:Wayne Pygram. Thandie Newton
Recurring RedShirt:Simon Pegg
I have no idea how this show would work LOL, but if I had the money I would make it happen.
and his name shall be crewman Kenny? or Shaun of the Dead?
Captain: {Not sure yet}
First Officer: Lena Headey
Medical (Doctor): Teryl Rothery
Helmsman/Navigator (Ops): Paul McGillion
Security (Tactical): Adam Baldwin
Science: Jewel Staite
Engineer: David Hewlett
Communications: Aaron Douglas
Counselor: Nicole De Boer
Recurring Engineer: Kate Hewlett
Admiral: Avery Brooks
My choices wound up being rather nostalgic… Here we go!
Raymond Burr as the Captain.
He had an amazing voice and would be able to project quite a prescence on the screen, I think he would look good in the main chair.
Robert Conrad as Number One.
The man was an Adonis in his prime, he would make a great First Officer. He did all of his own stunts in WWW, so he would be great in fight scenes.
Robert Vaughn as the Medical Officer.
Do I need to explain this? He just looks the part…
Vic Morrow as the Security Cheif.
Another action hero of his time, he would be great!
Valerie Cruz as the Science Officer.
We need some estrogen on the bridge, and I really miss her from ‘The Dresden Files’. One of my few present day picks…
