Caprica Final Five Frak Party

“Bill, you were named after your brother.”

Dude! Weak. :frowning:

The differently sentient?

So it’s all Clarice’s fault?

Really?

Baltar

It looks that way, but we’ll never know.:mad:

I thot it was perfect :frowning:

“The Children of humanity will rise…”

Ho.

Ly.

Frak.

“…and crush the ones who gave them life.”

Yay! A happy ending!

I don’t know. It actually made more sense since there was never any mention in BSG of Tamara, etc. It also feels right since this Bill Adama will grow up around a very different family than Willie.

All of the character development of Willie’s early childhood meant nothing. It’s not about the Bill we thought it was. We’ve learned nothing else about young Bill Adama than that he got saddled with a dead kid’s name. :frowning:

They did a great job with the montage. I wonder if they knew they were cancelled. Either way, the storytelling is wonderful.

Not the writers’ fault. They cancelled the show. I think the Adama’s are going to have a very different household now.

How much would he as an adult really talk about siblings that died before he hit puberty?

It also feels right since this Bill Adama will grow up around a very different family than Willie.

I don’t know. It just feels like a cheap cop-out to me, with the bait & switch kids.

Yeah, they really pulled out the A game at the end. A bit too late, unfortunately. :frowning:

I don’t know. Losing one child didn’t seem to make them better people. Losing another one and immediately replacing him? Somehow, that doesn’t sound like a healthy environment of growth.

Okay, I see your point. It was abrupt, for sure. The tough thing is we won’t know why they did it, because we don’t get any more. I do recall that in the commentary that the timeline (as in Bill will be too old in BSG) played a part, which is kind of a crappy excuse, yes, but I would have liked to see where they took this.

True. I just never felt that Joe was the father Bill (and Romo) talked about.

I don’t know. It just feels like a cheap cop-out to me, with the bait & switch kids.

Yeah. I can see that. As I mentioned, I think they wanted to tinker with the Adama family. Willie was a casualty.

18 episodes. SyFy, you fickle mistress.

I don’t know. Losing one child didn’t seem to make them better people. Losing another one and immediately replacing him? Somehow, that doesn’t sound like a healthy environment of growth.

That’s my point. It ain’t healthy. That seems more like Bill’s roots.

That is a crappy excuse.

I think we already mentioned in the pilot episode frak that Willie’s eye color wasn’t correct either.

I guess I was totally reading into it, unless they don’t want to admit their trials with the evolution of the Adama family.

This all may boil down to the “Writers On Tequila” scenerio for all we know.

Yeah. Writers on Scotch produce endings like we just watched.

Just to clarify: I LOVED the ending, but agree that the Bill thing was a little sudden, given that WE WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT THEY HAD IN MIND !!! I’m quite certain it would have been awesome.

Interesting tidbit from the audio commentary: (which Topgun I think mentioned )
The reason for the the Willie/Bill Adama bait and switch was this: They realized they screwed up on the math. Commander Adama would have been in his late 70s. So they used that as a reason for the Willie/Bill switch.

That’s yet another example that they really didn’t get their crap together in the beginning when planning the show.
