Just had a thot, our hide in the basement plan would not work for this scenario.
“First you bite the head off, then you suck the juice out, then you throw the rest of it away.”
I’m unfamiliar with that nursery rhyme.
Yeah. In fact, we’d probably be among the first to go.
That’s the thing. Major Collins was pointing a gun. Why didn’t he just shoot everyone in that room? I didn’t see anybody armed.
This poor child.
This kid has watched both of his parents deflate like old footballs.
If humanity survives, his psychiatrist will be very busy.
I don’t know. We don’t really sleep that much. I think I’d just go on a killing spree. Trust no one.
“I got orders.”
That’s not gonna work. They are a hive mind, I thot.
I think he was smart enough to realize the futility of it. Even if he killed everyone in that room, there were thousands more, right outside. And even if he could evade them, sleep can only be avoided so long.
Um, this makes no sense.
He just leaves her alone. WTF?
Well, he wasn’t that smart. Get more guns, etc. I’d find a frakkin tank and an economy pack of Twinkies.
True. As long as the basements have internet access.
I think I’d just go on a killing spree. Trust no one.
Sounds like I Am Legend. The real one.
No, they just have no individuality. They possess the memories of their hosts, but otherwise, they’re all the same.
To be honest, after what Andy’s been through, he’s better off as an alien.
All the better to save her later.
And see her naked, to boot!
Clearly, he was a man on the edge before things really got out of hand. I’d imagine that the psychologists would be the first to see the pattern. By the time they were willing to admit to themselves that it wasn’t just mass insanity, it would already be too late.
Yay! They saved him!
ETA: Or did they?
OK. That was a bit much, Andy just happens to be running through the night.
Oh, he’s an alien.
I think Andy’s finally snapped.
“Let 'em go. No one will believe them.”
Um, some people will.
That was the best thing for him, really.
“Our reaction was only human.”
Oh. I like this ending.
